The door of the bathroom had some difficulties to close and the toilet was made for really short people, but otherwise we had a great time!

Room was ok, we had a parking in front of the hotel, even thought it is limited traffic zone, but the hotel provides you a permit for the days that you are staying with them. Magnificent view on the Taormina and on Etna from our balcony was priceless! The staff was super nice and the city of Castelmola is so cozy, so friendly, we loved it!

not hotel fault, but the nature itself, there was a high speed wind alert, so no sleep at night because the sound very loud from the wind entering from everywhere in the room, windows and doors moving all the time, feeling like we were in a terror movie :)

The place needs renovation, there was a horrible smell coming out of the bathroom, we had to keep it closed, otherwise the smell would infect the whole bedroom. Mattress was hard, not comfortable.

The view from the room was worth a 1 million dollars. At breakfast we spent a lot of time just looking at the view. The location of the hotel was very convenient to a number of restaurants.

Since the hotel advertised wifi with the room, it was disappointing to have it in the lobby only (take note). Parking was provided but some distance away and with a big difference in altitude (climbing up and down to get to it). It is a steep, unforgiving and “interesting” drive up to the hotel, on a hair-raising road with many steep bends—but for which you’re rewarded with beautiful views of Etna and the coast.

The hotel is situated really high up on the mountain with magnificent views of Mt Etna. We had a room on the third floor (so be sure to pack light as there is no lift). The hosts were friendly and helpful although English proved a challenge. A decent typical Italian breakfast was provided in the morning.

The many stairs to the lobby were a little difficult for us but would be impossible for many less able customers. The bathroom configuration in our room was quite inconvenient and difficult to use.

The view from the terrace was magnificent! The owner and his entire family provided perfect hospitality and were always there to assist us. The hotel was beautifully furnished with true antique Sicilian charm and furniture. We felt perfectly at home. The location also had easy access to restaurants and shops.

Some things need refurbishing but these are very minor details and then the hotel would be much more expensive. So please, keep it as it is: a 10-star view and location for a 2-star price.

The views from the rooms and breakfast/dining terrace are breathtaking. All rooms have amazing large balconies. The village is beautiful and animated with excellent restaurants and just above Taurmina, one of Sicily’s greatest sights. A friendly, kind, family-run hotel in an extraordinarily magnificent place and very good value for money.

We fell in love with this hotel. Simple and beautiful at the same time. It offered us everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The room was very clean and cleaned daily. The views are exceptional, the owners are very friendly and helpful, we also really liked the breakfast- a typical Italian tasty croissants, cappuccinos and juices.

Having to leave!

A lovely family run hotel, the hotel has everything you need for your stay. What makes this place special is the warmest hospitality from the owners and the views are unbelievable. Breakfast was delicious, and they couldn’t do enough for us throughout our stay, even called a taxi for us when the bus didn’t arrive on our departure. Will definitely be back!

Everything! The hotel is located in Castelmola, which is a lovely and unique village surrounded of magnificent views, local restaurants and a castle. The hotel is very simple, but you have everything that you need, in fact even more, with the beautiful views from our window and balcony to appreciate sunsets and sunrises. The staff is very welcoming and friendly and they are always there for everything that you may need.

Wonderful place. I travel to discover exactly places like that. Calm hotel carried by Italian very friendly and helpful family. They created wonderful atmosphere there. Very nice breakfast with amazing view on the whole Sicily. Hotel is on the top of the hill so just imagine:) we could see sea and Etna at the same glance. We also had this great view from our room. Rooms were spacious, cleaned very well every day. I felt there like at home. Definitely I would come back there to Hotel Panorama do Sicilia again. And Castelmola is charming place that we can rest far from crowds and feel like locals. Magical place. And thank you for making our stay unforgettable. The best memories we have from this place <3 Grazie mile :)
