How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

This is definitely a hidden gem in Rome. It’s not as expensive as other hotels in Rome yet the quality of the room is very good for a three star hotel located less than a 5 minute walk from the Vatican City. The room has all the amenities you would need and is cleaned every day. It’s very modern as well. The staff is attentive and nice, always happy to provide you with any recommendations. Even though on the map it might look as it’s far from the city centre of Rome, the walk is quite nice and it doesn’t feel like you’ve been walking for ages. Highly recommended this hotel for anyone looking for a reasonably priced hotel.

My has no sightseeing , but very quiet place.

Nitpicking… the fridge in the room was very noisy… but did not distract from the stay.
Location was a little quirky as the hotel was set behind a large wooden door in a large courtyard. It was great for Vatican City. It was easy to enter the centre of Rome by foot or public transport. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was continental in style and served in a very small area in the hotel. The hotel with 15 rooms was an oasis of quiet in a busy city.

It is noisy inside the hotel. You can hear your neighbors and people arriving and leaving the hotel, but after a long day and a nice dinner you will fall asleep😉

The mattress wasn't the most comfortable, however this is a personal preference.
Good transport links, and a couple of streets away from the Vatican. Lovely staff and a well maintained room.

Breakfast area is very small but has everything you need. The hotel is within an internal courtyard of apartments so there is a little noise early morning but not too much of an issue.
Good location, rooms were excellent, very clean and well maintained. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Has mini bar (a little noisy though), hairdryer, enough space etc

Great hotel nearby cathedral and old city centre. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and the bathroom had a great shower. Breakfast is what you expect in Italy, good coffee and some bread. Better go out for a great lunch on every corner!
