Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe room was functional but one must remember that hotels in old parts of town are small and have small rooms. And an incredibly small elevator. We could take an elevator to the fourth floor, where we checked in, but had to take the stairs up a flight to our room. To get in the door from the outside, there was a panel with several buttons to push. So the hotel was a smallish part of the whole building. Maybe other hotels. We wondered if the housekeeping staff was shared because our room wasn't made up until late in the afternoon. Also, I would have like electric outlets by the bed. There was only one at the desk under the TV. Even though I booked the room for two people, the quoted price was allegedly for one and we had to pay for the second person upon arrival. And also the city taxes, which weren't included. When I prepaid, I thought I was paying some taxes already. So ultimately the room cost $335/night, when we were expecting $300.
The front-desk staff was exceedingly nice and well-trained. The location was excellent as we were only a 20 minute walk to the Colosseum and maybe 10-15 minutes each to the Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon. It would have been closer to 30 minutes to the Vatican. We couldn't be late for our tour, and it was early, so we took a taxi. There was a taxi stand less than a 5-minute walk away. The breakfast was nice with eggs, bacon, a nice selection of pastries, fruit, yogurt, and juices and coffee/cappucino. (Distances to popular sites are listed in feet, but crowds, both pedestrians and cars, made them seem further.)

United StatesThe building is very old, but charming...they had electricity problems when we got there and we had to go up 4 floors to get to the hotel. However, the hotel staff was extremely accommodating and they brought all of our luggage up. When we git back from our tour, all was working and in perfect order.
The location was perfect! Only few blocks from the Trevi Fountain, shops and many good restaurants.

ThailandBreakfast was only available on the terrace after 9am, possibly because it might have been cold out there beforehand. But it meant that there were a lot of people packed into the small indoor dining space.
Fabulous room, great location, lovely rooftop terrace, good facilities. The main guy was super helpful and friendly.

NetherlandsIt felt very expensive, but the comfort, location and breakfast included do justify some of that, and Rome is expensive in general.
Really helpful and friendly man at reception. The location was perfect to walk everywhere. The soundproofing of the room was amazing, and we could get a good night's sleep. The cleaning ladies were also lovely!

HungaryThe house was undergoing renovation work on the roof and the upper terrace, which was noticeable in the room in the morning, but quiet in the evening.
The location is really great, close to everything, short walk to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain, shopping and restaurants nearby. The breakfast is varied and they also think about lactose intolerant people. The staff are very nice and helpful, there is a taxi station nearby from where you can get to Ciampino airport for 31 EUR.

United StatesEverything was wonderful.
The hotel was in an excellent location. It was easily accessible to all the attractions, very close to a taxi stop as well. The entire staff was excellent. Extremely friendly. Would highly recommend it. Our room was cleaned daily as well. The location was super quiet at night when sleeping. You could barely hear anything when the windows are closed. Breakfast was great. I would order a beautfully made cappuccino every morning along with my breakfast. My family of 4 (wife and 2 daughters) really enjoyed the hospitality provided by Parlamento. Thank you so much!!

United Arab Emiratesnothing really, perfecto!
Amazing location, very central and close to restaurants, shops, cafes, etc. Clean and quiet despite being in the city center! however, the best part of my stay at this place was the very friendly staff (I believe it's a family business). The entrance to the building might be tricky and not visible at first, but security is high and appreciated.

We liked the convenience of the location (close to many major sites), the friendliness of the staff (especially Tiziano and Livia), and the very cute room. The transfer from the airport to the hotel and from hotel to the cruise port (Simone was wonderful) was arranged by the hotel and made it very easy. 10 out of 10

United KingdomTo be honest, there was nothing negative for me in this hotel. The room was small, but that’s the norm in Rome. The breakfast was simple, but there was plenty of choice and the products were nice and of good quality.
Superb location, within walking distance of all main attractions. Attentive and helpful staff, we were made to feel very welcome. The room was very quirky and cute, and super clean.
