Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaThe room was a bit small and not so great view from the window, but we spent to little time there to really care.
Great location very near the main train station. 20 minutes walk from the airport and another 20 minutes from the city centre and the leaning tower. Oscar, the host, was very nice and helped us with directions, maps, ideas of what to do in town and in Florence. Breakfast was plenty and you can eat whenever you want. Funny shaped lamp. New furniture.

HungaryThe property was clean, comfortable, and very close to both the airport and the railway station (which was really handy when we visited Cinque Terre and Lucca), and not too far from the Piazza dei Miracoli (Duomo, Leaning Tower, etc., a 20-minute walk). Our host, Oscar, was super nice and helpful (he pre-booked our airport transfer and advised us on local attractions). All in all, it was a terrific stay.

United KingdomThe only recommendation I might give would be a bit more water pressure but it wasn't really a problem
Oscar, the host was absolutely fantastic. He was warm, informative, attentive and really gave it the extra touch for what was already a good place to stay. There was clear attention to detail, the breakfast, the fridge in the shared kitchen but also a mini fridge in the room. Simply excellent.

Pisa City Lodge is a small premises on a side street just a minutes stroll from Central Station. Oscar couldn't do enough for us during our stay. He gave us so much information which was a great help. The premises was clean, quiet and it was like a home from home for us. Thank you Oscar for making this a very memorable trip. Pisa is a beautiful city and its so easy to travel to Florence and Lucca from there by train. I have no hesitation in recommending Pisa City Lodge.

United KingdomThe street where the apartment is located is a little underwhelming. However it's quiet and the building is very secure, has a lift to the third floor and it's location is superb for easy access to Pisa railway station and the town.
Oscar is a lovely person and fantastic host. So welcoming and helpful. Right from the start he provided us with all the travel information we needed to get the best out of our stay in Tuscany. It was like having our own personal tour guide! From recommending restaurants to booking our airport taxi for our return flight, he was so helpful and quick to respond to WhatsApp messages when I had a query. Rooms were spotless, breakfasts were plentiful and refreshed on a daily basis. We were free to come and go as we pleased and could help ourselves to tea and coffee in the spotless kitchen/dining area at any time of day. I would definitely stay again!

AustraliaThe one and only change would be the towels. They were a little rough.
Oscar the host is exceptional. Every small detail was considered. From how to use the locks and lift, places to go, where to eat. The breakfast provided was extraordinary, so many options and a huge amount. The bed comfortable and the room spotless. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!! And can’t wait to return.

United KingdomThere is nothing we didn’t like.
This will be the best review I’ve ever written for so many reasons. Oscar, the property owner, is just amazing. He is charming, so helpful and nothing was too much for him. His property is beautiful, from the communal area to the individual rooms. They are modern, spotless and feel like home from home. The pictures do not do the breakfast justice as there is so much food. In addition to all the food laid out on your own individual table (the name of your room is on a plaque on the table) each table has an allocated shelf in the fridge where you have sealed packets of fresh Italian meats, cheese, yoghurts, cartons of juice, your own bottle of milk, butter and fresh fruits. All this as well as a big variety of “branded” cereals, a selection of teas and two coffee machines with Espresso or Starbucks coffee…….plus all this gets replenished daily and he changes the variety of foods daily. On our last morning (which was New Years Day) he even laid out a special cake and panettone on each table for his guests - he is just incredibly thoughtful and lovely. The location of the property is just a 5 minute walk from the station (even at my slow pace of walking) where we got on a train to Florence one day and Lucca the following day - you can literally get anywhere for the day including Rome. You can also pop on the bus and The Leaning Tower of Pisa is only 7 stops away for €1.70 or a casual 25 minute walk away. My daughter and I had an amazing holiday and feel so glad that we stayed here. It, genuinely, was just fab and we cannot recommend it enough…..you will not be disappointed.

United KingdomThe location is really close to the station, which was helpful for us, but did also mean that most of the decent restaurants were a slightly longer walk away. You can't have it both ways, but something to bear in mind.
Oscar was such a helpful and friendly host who gave us loads of good advice. The room was large and comfy and the access felt safe and secure. Breakfast is a bit different, but there was lots of it and plenty of choice.
