I loved everything about Il Tigliolo, from the beautiful, fully equipped apartment, to the carefully tended gardens and wonderful variety of plants. Sitting on my deck with a coffee and the swallows darting around in the morning was a dream. It was very quiet, peaceful, and restorative, perhaps in part because it is deep in the countryside. The host was very kind and welcoming, and knows every good restaurant around (if you don't want to cook),and he is also very well acquainted with all of the exceptional wineries in the area. The views across the olive groves and along the valley are truly unforgettable, and while Il tigliolo is certainly off the beaten track it is still a quick and easy drive to many interesting places, such as Pienza, Bagno Vignoni, and the entire Val d'Orcia. The bed was very comfortable, and the villa was really quite large. There is a gorgeous swimming pool, and everything you'd need to self cater. A real hidden gem.

You are in the heart of Tuscany. The apartment is big and beautiful. The property is in the middle of nowhere. You have stunning views from there. The owner is very friendly and very helpful. Give lots of advice and good tips that we want to do in Tuscany. I will definitely recommend it.

It’s not the properties fault but the last days there was this big family there with a lot of kids that took over the pool area and was extremely loud but didn’t care. Very annoying.. The parking area could be more easy too but no everything was good

The fact that you get you own apartment was very nice. Especially with our dog - much freedom and easygoing everything overall. Our own little space to sit outside eating dinner was lovely. The owner was supernice givning us tips and made arrangemangets just for us to go on wine tasting etc. very good!

Was absolutely amazing! Clean pool, huge apartment, accomodated with all needed. Close to small villages, easy to reach. Met lots of wild animals on the road, fantastic nature!

The big room smelled musty to the point of danger for health. They need to check it carefully. Luckily there were two rooms so we could sleep in the twin room.

Facilities are very nice, the swimming pool and the views are awesome. Nice place to relax and visit some places around the Tuscany.

Perfect place, it is a hidden pearl in the area and I wish we could stay longer. I recommend this place to stay there at least 3 days because it is such a peacefull for a relaxation and to take a rest while exploring the area.

We travelled with children at the end of February, the house is built from stone, and the temperature inside is only +13.5C. There is an electrical heating system, but it's not free. For 1 hr we were able to receive only +15.5C. I believe that location is perfect for the summer time!

It was too hot in the night without air conditioning even with the fans in each room

This place is just wonderful ! The appartment is decorated with italian traditional style, very clean. The garden is just heaven on earth! The pool is so clean and very large, there is 6 appartements there, but enough space for all of us to relax and enjoying swiming or reading a book. It was a breath taking experience.

My wife and I spent an amazing almost week at Il Tigliolo, the place itself is breathtaking, the house with two floors perfectly clean and with views to the vinard and Montalcino. The atmosphere there is perfect, with a swimming pool and grass where you can enjoy some Toscany wine and cheese. Paolo was great, please follow all his recommendation as they will guide you to the most beautiful places, nice restaurants and also wine testing in the area. Definitely a place to repeat to enjoy the peace and beauty of Toscany you experience there.

VERY BAD road to the hotel, attention! They want you to do additional work, which is not described on Booking, remove trash , clean etc.

The property itself is ok, having in consideration the nature if tourism, however booking this location, you must consider few things. 1. Movement by car after dusk myst be limited. I felt secured but , in the event of vehicle breakdown, you will have to wait in a complete dark with gravel toads until help arrives! 2. Consider driving off road SUV , for better comfort and safer ride.
