Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

JapanNothing bad about the property at all. Just be prepared to have a car, it’s the only way to get around comfortably in Tuscany. And be sure not to book your stay during the “La Eroica” cycling festival…
Podere Poggio Salto is perfect. There is no other word for it. My wife and I arrived for our first time in Tuscany on our honeymoon and from the moment we saw the estate our jaws dropped at how beautiful it is. Perfectly presented, beautifully renovated while still maintaining its retro country farmhouse charm. The facilities were fresh and modern and superbly clean. Everything was stunning from the views to the farm animals to the pool. Our hosts Tommaso and Claire were fantastic and so communicative through WhatsApp. They had just gotten married themselves and yet were so attentive to whatever we needed. Tommaso had brilliant recommendations on where to eat and Claire had prepared a complete booklet available in the room to help you plan your stay. They gave us fresh farm eggs, olive oil, pastries and spreads and the coffee machine was stocked to the brim with espresso. We were so impressed and we would give Poggio Salto a 12/10 if we could. An absolutely stunning, calm, private, beautiful home away from home and perfect base to explore the surrounding towns in Tuscany. We will definitely be returning.

GermanyInternet is somewhat spotty - but this is to expect in the middle of the rural area (actually everywhere in Italy, except for big cities, coverage was surprisingly bad). So not sure that it would work out for remote work and digital nomading unfortunately.
Amazing location - right in the midst of beautiful Toscana hills. The property is very nicely decorated with lots of areas to relax outside with a glass of wine, watching the view and the sunset (which is also amazing from up there). The hosts are nice and attentive - they gave us lots of good recommendations, also left us free local products to enjoy (plus coffee, tea, some snacks and pastry for breakfast). One gets a very homy vibe out there - like the hosts love it over there themselves and want everyone who comes over to enjoy it equally. Accommodation was clean and with everything one might need (incl. necessities for cleaning and cooking (e. oil, salt, pepper etc)). We loved it - definitely coming back again.

AustraliaTommaso and Claire are delightful and friendly hosts- nothing is too much trouble. They have made really quality improvements to their property for guests’ comfort and Tommaso’s mother works tirelessly making a lovely garden. We really appreciated all the breakfast supplies they left us especially the delicious pastries! The shower was the best I’ve ever been in, in lovely new bathroom and the best was so comfortable. The heating ( and cooling) was excellent with 2 air conditioners int eh kitchen and bedroom we could control ourselves. Loved the sunsets and sunrises looking out at the exquisite countryside surrounding Podere Poggio Salto. Loved the friendly cats and seeing the chickens and sheep!

Everything was perfect, it’s such a beautiful place! A very well maintained garden, nice pool and amazing views! We had a charming and very clean one bedroom apartment. There were pastries and fresh eggs as well as yogurt, milk, Nutella and some croissants available free of charge which is a really nice gesture. Also Olive oil, salt and pepper is available which is much appreciated. The owners are lovely, we will come back for sure!

United StatesNothing but good things to say!
Cannot say enough good things about this place and it’s owners! They were wonderful to work with and extremely responsive. Our plane was delayed getting in and we were going to be arriving in the middle of the night-they made it a point to make a video specifically for us to be able to show us exactly where to go and what to do once we arrived! Above and beyond! They also had the fridge stocked with some yogurt, eggs, and delicious cannolis, as well as breakfast cookies and toast and spreads on the buffet. Much appreciated, as you want to get out and explore the beautiful countryside and hillside towns. The one word that I would use to describe the property is immaculate! Both the room and the grounds! Everything was just beautiful and you could tell much thought and time are put into making this house a home away from home for all who come to stay.

United KingdomNothing wrong it was all good, but just beware the road to the property is 1.5 to 2 miles long and is frequented by small deer with fawns. September 2023.
· Well, I'm not sure where to start with this place but I will begin with our hosts. So, we arrived on the Monday, and we were greeted by a very friendly and happy young couple, Claire and Tommaso our very young hosts. Tommaso insisted on carrying our luggage up the stairs to our room. They speak very good English, especially Claire. They both took us up to the apartment which had views across the open Tuscan countryside in every direction. They showed us how everything worked and where everything was, It was very well kitted out and had lots of things in the welcome pack that would have lasted until next year. They had only just been married on the Thursday on the farm just a few days before our arrival and they were just getting on with the business. Claire and Tommaso were nothing short of the most fantastic hosts we have ever met. Please don't change. The furniture and styles were very Italian, very comfy beds, great bathrooms and showers all again kitted out, everything you need for cooking from the well kitted out kitchen. Everything was very clean and we had a lovely balcony which we used for our morning tea and toast and for the amazing sunsets. Tommaso was born and raised on the farm so knew so much about the area. Outside there were beautiful gardens nurtured and tended daily by Tommaso's mum. A lovely pergola with flowers and vines, a large table and chairs overlooking the countryside, a great pool again with lovely views loungers and parasols. Seats and benches dotted around the gardens where you could just chill and read with a glass of vino or just nod off. A beautiful place to stay from our point of view, if you want peace, quiet, great countryside, chill and have outstanding hosts, this is a great place to stay.

United KingdomTommasso and Claire (and his mum) were so friendly and generous and the apartment was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had intended to use it as a base for three nights to explore the nearby towns and villages. However the location is so stunning, with views of the hills and fields of the Val d'Orcia and the beautiful gardens tended by Tommasso's mum that we decided not to go anywhere. Instead we stayed put and just chilled and relaxed in the wonderful surroundings of Podere Poggio Salto. Thankfully we had stocked up in provisions before hand!

PolandWe liked everything!
Our stay in Poggio Salto was exceptional! Breathtaking views, peace & quiet make it a really good place to rest and recharge batteries. But the real highlight for us was the host, Tomasso, who made our holidays even better. He was super helpful, nice and accomodating. The whole experience was very authentic and we could have a glimps of a real Tuscan life of Tomasso and his family. We truly enjoyed it and hope we'll come back!

Spacious Tuscan Hills living in style. Tomasso was hospitable and very welcoming- made us feel at home and a great start to our vacation in Tuscany. Rooms are not luxurious but the decor gave a great vibe of country living and farmstay. Very clean and well maintained. During our stay, we enjoyed fresh eggs from the chickens and Tomasso stocked up our suites with breakfast items to get us started on our day. They also produced their own pasta and olive oil which were reasonably priced . We bought some and cook them for dinner and BOY were the Gigli pasta the best i have ever tasted! They dont make you feel heavy after the meal. Light and goes well with any sauce.

IndonesiaNothing really. It just would be nice to have a washing machine, at least even to share with other guests. But Thomasso was very helpful and told us where to do our laundry in Pienza and he provided us with a drying rack.
Thomasso is super friendly and nice, he let us checkin earlier. The views are AMAZING and the farm animals are so cute. There are a few friendly cats who like to say hello. The apartment was clean and the bathroom was nice. We had a great stay, chilling in the countryside of Val D'orcia.
