Wifi could be better!

Fantastic big apartment on 2 levels!!! 2 rooms plus a beautiful underoof room. A great swimming pool, 3 tennis courts, professional bycicle rent service very efficient. We had one day guided bycycle tour and it was great! Very closed to the most important archeological sites of Populonia. Great!!!

The buffet breakfast shown in the photos was only provided IF there was a large sports group booked in and even at that, it was not guarunteed that other resort guests could avail of it. This wasn't very transparent when booking, as it is a resort we assumed there would be full breakfast daily as shown in the photos on booking.com. We got lucky one day and could pay 10 eur pp for the buffet (once the group had already finished with it) which was good, but the next day there was no group and therefore no buffet so we only could get a croissant at the restaurant. It is quite isolated, which makes it pretty and calm, but in terms of food, you're quite stuck. Dinner in the restaurant was good but somewhat pricey. The shop didn't have many options to buy food. Just as an FYI. There were many mosquitos in the area, the hotel sprayed our room upon request and also did a mass spraying of the grounds but I would recommend bringing bug spray/creams if you're any way sensitive!

It is in a beautiful location, off the beaten track, view of the hills from our room, beautiful grounds. It is a 10 min taxi ride (25 eur) from Campiglia Marittima train station which is accessible from Rome with a fast train (abou 2 hours). There is the Olympic swimming pool, tennis courts (rackets and balls provided), football fields (ball provided). The bicycles are for hire at an extra charge (10 eur per day for city bike) and its just a 10 min cycle down a country road to the beach so you're really getting lots in this holiday - sport, countryside, beach. The guy's working at the bike shop were very friendly. The apartment had all equipment needed eg pots/pans - but no washing up liquid. Would recommend.

Lack of cleaning stuff for the house and kitchen, the gym equipment is broken and not maintained well. Very bad and unstable wifi. Basketbaal field is missing, would be great to have it.

Not a complaint, but it seems bizarre that you had to book the on site restaurant and we were almost turned away despite there only being one table there eating! We think a no booking first come first served policy would serve them better. Also don’t forget a swim hat for the pool! We read reviews and brought some in advance.

Loved the space of the apartment, the facilities were brilliant for children, staff very kind and you never felt rushed or crowded. Bike hire staff lovely, swim lifeguards jolly and the lady in the shop is a delight. Laundry facilities incredibly useful and easy to use. Also love the doggy sunbathing area which was highly amusing for our 1 year old. Fantastic stay for a sporty family.

The restaurant with swedish breakfast is just for big groups, families could buy only typical italy breakfast. We prefere to have some nice breakfast as omelete, ham and chees, vegetables and fruit. This would be really nice.

The areal was really nice, we could play tenis or table tenis for free. You can bring or borrow the bicycle and go for tours. There is a nice swimming pool, market and ice cream shop. The sand beach is near by car. Near the areal is Populonia train station and markets, pizza and caffeteria. We had a very good time.

The so promised heated swimming pool was always occupied by teams form sports centers, from 8 am to 8 pm every day. Our kids, and ourselves, were so disappointed that during 4 days we could not even approach it. Since there are two other swimming pools, why can't you arrange them to be also heated and used by the regular guests?

Very good facilities, spacious, simple but effective: very good fridge, cook and microwave to allow you to have your own meals. Excellent food at the restaurant and excellent the bike service in the premises.

A bit far from the beach, but a short ride with bikes did the job. The bike rental staff did not allow the kids to use their own bikes on the pump track saying it is not allowed to use 29" or fully suspension bikes, trying to sell a BMX bike although the pump track was not in that great shape. The menu in the restaurant was available only via QR code in Italian only without any pictures. Difficult to choose.

The parking was free. The olimpic pool was heated. Great pool for trained swimmers. The restaurant was ok, but nothing special.

A car is needed for going to the beach, parking is easy when going earlier in the morning or afternoon, otherwise very busy. The check-in was very basic, you need to find a lot of information by yourself.

The one room bedroom is generous and equipped with everything needed for your stay. You have everything at the reach of a few steps: the pool is fantastic, tennis courts, football pitch, bike rental, the restaurant on site is good.
