Nothing! We loved our stay at Porta Nera.

We couldn't rate this location more highly! We had a fantastic stay, made so by the fantastic location, truly welcoming and brilliant staff, and a room that was as comfortable as it was clean. When we return to Florence, we'll definitely be staying here again.

The bed. The bed was the most comfortable bed we slept in during our vacation in Italy by far. The location is amazing, literally walking distance from everything. The place was clean and stylish and we absolutely enjoyed our stay! The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Noise between rooms and with the street. On weekday, we heard a lot of noise from the building next to Porta Nera and it wakes up

Very good and beautiful. People very kind, they give us a lot of tips for good restaurants, an umbrella is given when it’s raining, some fresh water free in the room, very good !

Room was designed/finished with single occupancy in mind. One chair in the room. Second person can seat on stool resting on the wall, one hanger for bath towel in the bathroom, second tower we hang on radiators (not always on) no place to put bigger suitcase. Luckily we travelled very light so no big problem. We stayed in April so weather didn’t permit to use upper deck/terrace.

Friendly owner and staff who are physically available between 9am and 8pm . otherwise you can contact by WhatsApp. New upscale Very well serviced and decorated rooms . Comfortable bed. cleaned daily .nice complimentary collection of teas and coffee capsules. only 10 minutes away from central train station by Taxi ( 8- 12 EURO ) Central

A chair or sofa in the room would have been good... Aircon did not work - we slept without aircon for 3 nights, couldnt connect with staff because we left early morning for our tours and returned late night - until we were told that the batteries from the remote were intentionally removed!!! Could not understand why since its an "adults" only hotel!

Location is excellent... Staff - Christine, Manuella... really helpful and friendly.... Room we took was clean, neat and was a good size.... Coffee selection in room is excellent! Lots of bars and restaurants are a stone's throw (literally)... and so the food choices are endless!

To access the hotel you need to ring a doorbell to open a first gate. Then wait for the staff to open an additional door. Not a deal breaker but I would inform guests upon arrival how to access the hotel for the first time.

The room was quite small, but that’s expected for apartments located in the center of old town.

The property was well located, new, and clean. The stuff was nice and very accommodating. It is in the middle between hotel and Airbnb.

An amazing designed hotel that goes with the news times! Everything from a welcoming reception to our room itself was wonderful. This hotel is a brand new place perfectly situated and designed with so much taste and imagination. The reception is a mixture of a café (with a large choice of coffee and tea for every taste), your living room (but with most comfortable and beautifully thought and constructed furniture) and a gallery (there are some photographs, made by a Swiss artist, exposed). The room is gorgeous and spacious enough with some beautiful furniture and again a nice photograph exposed on the wall. The mattress and the linen are so comfortable, you’ll sleep as a well treated baby. There was also a nice touch of very deliciously smelled shower gels. We’re in love with Florence so we’ll be back there again and again and I think that for now this place will be our choice to stay at every trip.
