How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The room and shower were quite small, you could hear the neighbours and the outside as the window wasn’t very good.

We couldn't light the stove, so we could not cook meals as we had planned. The dishwasher was also unable to be used. The mattress and pillow made us really hot.
We loved the location, just away from the centre area, so it was quiet but close enough to walk to everything. The apartment was comfortable and spacious, and the staff were so friendly and obliging. Overall, our stay was fabulous.

Property was clean and everything was like new. The sound of the stream was wonderful. The terrace garden is a nice place to sit. Manager is very welcoming.

Every thing was lovely.
Large, clean apartment. Didn't use the well equipped kitchen as excellent restaurants close. Very good communication, instructions and restaurant recommendations by the friendly people at reception. Our friends stayed in a room on the same floor so very convenient.

Clean. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Replied quickly. We were able to leave our luggage on check out to explore while we waited for our train. About a 15min walk to the main centre. Room was very clean and comfortable.

The location is up a steep slope in the opposite direction of the town centre so would recommend taking a taxi/shuttle if you have heavy luggage. Family room was shared between 2 couples and both beds were in the same room so they did not have much privacy. Other than this no other negatives.
Booked 2 rooms- one double and one family shared between 3 couples. Double room was very cosy but well equipped, with comfortable beds small balcony and the nicest, most modern bathroom of our entire trip. The family room which was shared between 2 couples and had a lovely outdoor seating area to have dinner and drinks, big kitchen and large comfortable bathroom.

The matress are too soft and for us this was very uncomfortable.. We are less that 60 kg each and we were sinking in the bed.
The room is big and everything was very clean. The staff is very attentive and friendly and gave us great advice

Hotel owners were lovely - they went above and beyond. Gave me tips on where to eat and the best options for the trails. The room was basic but clean and comfortable, had everything I needed.

The internet was a little slow and the only reason it was a bit of an issue is because I had to do some school from the room. However ! Most will be out enjoying the beauty you’re surrounded by anyway !
Location was great . The staff was very friendly, helpful and informative . The room had lots of room, was very clean , wifi, a TV, AC, nice big bathroom and the bed was very comfortable.

Wonderful hosts, who were so kind and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. A little out of the main town so less busy, yet only a couple of minutes walk from the station. Amazing restaurants very close by.

Would have been nice to have a balcony or terrace.
Location was perfect and staff were really lovely too! I left my jewely and they communicated with me and we arranged how I would get it back.

Be prepared that you will be located at the top of the village so therefore an uphill walk with luggage.
Quiet location away from fhe crowds. Had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Hosts were helpful with recommendations and directions.

Directions were terrible. Owner needs to revise directions on booking .com. The location isn’t correct on google maps and takes you to a different village and winding staircases. Very confusing. Owner sent pictures with directions to us several hours after not finding the place. Directions with pictures should be sent to each guest ahead of time in case they don’t have Wi-Fi or let each guest know to walk up the main road to the top of the hill and it’s the last building on the left on DeSalvo road.
Location is cozy and quiet. The balcony is relaxing and enjoyable. The bed and pillows were amazingly comfy.
