The room is equiped very poor. No coffee machine, no slippers etc. No place to put cosmetics in the bathroom. The breakfast is average with minimal selection of food (but coffee is good)

The Reception staff were not welcoming. More like robots doing a job they hate. Check out was much the same. Not even an enquiry asking about how our stay was.

The hotel is a lovely old world hotel with a beautiful ambience. It is well maintained with lovely comfortable rooms.

The elevator did not service the lobby. Very cumbersome. My husband, in walker, had to come to the second floor, to turn a couple of corners, to a handicap asessible personal elevator. It worked, but it wasn't a pleasant experience. The cocktail/ bar area needed more staff. Nearly everyone had to wait many minutes for a bartender to appear. There were as many as six folks ahead of me at one of my visits. And a mentioned we would have preferred a fully enclosed shower.

Breakfast was far more than expected in selection. And the location was very good. Our room was adequate; I was expecting more. The shower, even though updated, with that fourth side we found it quite dangerous. My husband did fall in the shower, my having to get staff member to help him up. I am still waiting, after three requests, for the name and contact info for the transport company the hotel aranged for us. I can't imagine the holdup for better than two weeks now.

Poor soundproofing in rooms, feel like the rooms were bigger then made smaller with just plasterboard in between you can literally hear everything in the next room, staff were not very happy at all

There were ants in the room if you had fruit or brought food into the room. We brought bananas in the room and were very sorry we did. Ants everywhere I used a whole can of hairspray to get rid of them. The bathroom was nice but the toilet didn't always flush which was irritating. This is a 1830's hotel so it's old but the bathroom is new and nice.

Great location, great staff and check in, great breakfast, everyone was very helpful. I messed up the reservation and needed an additional night and the manager was very helpful in arranging it where we were able to stay in the same room for the extra night even though they were sold out. I was impressed with all the staff at the front desk and throughout the hotel. The breakfast had several options of coffees, expresso, latte, cappuccinos, American coffee,etc. The croissants & breads were yummy. The beds were on the hard but surprisingly from walking exhaustion we slept well.

A grand old hotel in an easily accessible location (Roma Termini/Repubblica Metro), also in walkable distance to major historical sites. The front desk staff were very helpful and arranged an airport transfer for us. We also took advantage of online/personalised meal offers during pre-arrival check-in, taken in the Rossini restaurant - which also offered other great dining options. The Maître d’ and waitstaff were very pleasant and helpful and provided well-paced service. We would happily stay again.

Could be more gluten free options - particularly at breakfast, as the buffet didn't have many options for coeliacs

Lovely old world hotel with high ceilings and very comfortable bed. Fantastic location and friendly staff. Great base for sightseeing with Colosseum, Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps within 20 mins walk. St Maria Maggiore basilica is a real treasure just 5 mins walk away, as is the central train station.

Beware of pickpockets in Rome.

We were delighted with the hotel. The location was close to the station with plenty of good restaurants close by. It is a traditional hotel with some very interesting pictures and a quirky lift. Restaurant is good with a nice courtyard which is used as an eating area in good weather. It was well used, even in April!!

AC was not on for the season yet, it was warm at night, but they were able to give us a fan.

Excellent desk staff!! Very good recommendations for restaurants and responsiveness to requests. Great neighborhood for walking access to tourist sites, and to restaurants. Very close to a Metro stop, as well as trains at Termini. Felt like a safe neighborhood for two women traveling together.
