Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaThe location was great, close to the metro station. Though there was no breakfast, there are vending machines where you can buy coffee or snacks. Near the hotel there are also grocery shop and pharmacy. Rooms are cleaned every day. Calm and nice place to stay. The staff is amazing, always ready to help.

PolandLocarion is just in 2 subway stations from Roma Termini train station, and to get to Policlinica subway station, you need to take just 5 min walk (if you’re lucky with trafic lights). Staff was welcoming and helpful. Hope that someday they’ll include breakfasts too, but can’t complain, because there are at least 4 caffès opened at 09:00 just down Via Bari street.

PortugalThe room was a bit small, and I had a problem with ants (also mentioned in some of the other reviews). The shower was also really tiny but still fine to use. I know the hotel has been offering some snacks in the morning (free of charge), but some options could be savoury.
Besides being far from the centre, the hotel is great for exploring Rome. It's close to the metro, there are buses running right in front, and the staff was really friendly! They don't offer breakfast at the moment, which is a pity, but they're kind enough to offer some snacks and fruits in the morning in a small room.

United StatesAn absolute gem. Shout out to David for making us feel like family. He made sure we had a place to stay when our ferry arrived late, always in touch with us and staying late. The staff here are amazing, always so friendly and welcoming. Our room was always so clean. The coffee in the morning was spectacular, better than any we had in other countries. The room was large, comfortable, and the AC was nice. The location was perfect, away from the noise, but right next to a bus station we used to get all over Roma. I would only stay here when in Roma

SpainThe bathroom was too small. Basically, the bidet was unusable due to the lack of space.
The hotel is in a great position and has super friendly staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Despite being located on a square, it is very quiet. The breakfast is minimal, but around the hotel many incredible places where you can have a great breakfast are available.

NetherlandsLight sleepers should use earplugs, as with most buildings in Rome you will hear noise from the corridor and other rooms.
Excellent location, very close to Metro B Policlinico. Very friendly staff - made me feel welcome. My room was small but clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower excellent.

TurkeyIt was an especially hot april week when we stayed in Rome and there was no air conditioning available. The rooms are too tight for some of the furniture or appliances so it creates a feeling of claustrophobia. Hotel is showing its age. Since there is no AC on we also had to try to sleep through the constant street traffic noise.
Clean rooms, walking distance from a metro station, very helpful and attendant staff. Decent wifi. Complementary drinks and snacks for free in the mornings. Spacious and comfy beds.

LebanonRoom was very small but ok or me as I was outside the hotel for most of the day.
My stay was for 5 nights, I appreciated the help the staff offered Davide in particular who was always supportive and helpful. The hotel location was great just 2 minutes away from the metro station in a young and vibrant neighborhood close to the university. A bonus breakfast was available even though not included in the booking.

CanadaThe pillows could be softer. Also they prefer notification by whatsapp. Not everyone likes whatsapp but they did respond to email. Hotels need to ensure they make communication easy with international guests whose cell phones may not work in Europe. I was unable to evaluate the air conditioning because I was not there in hot weather.
Staff were friendly and personable. I had read some negative reviews after booking and wondered if I had made a mistake. The room on the third floor was small but functional. It was spotlessly clean. Previously in Rome I stayed in a more touristy area. This was a refreshing change. The Metro is within easy walking distance. There is no breakfast, so be aware of that. They made it clear at the time of booking. The area felt very safe.

BrazilIt was the best place we stayed in Europe, and the most important thing was the reception. It made us feel like we were at home! The sympathy of the guys and all the tips they gave us (a lot of hidden gems in Rome). Our trip to Rome was more special because of them. Very good location. Close to a subway station and there is a bus stop in front of the hotel.

LatviaCan't say anything bad, really. Weather was rather cloudy and rainy, hence the humidity level was higher than comfortable. I didn't use any heating / conditioning, maybe I should have had. In all, it wasn't the problem of the hotel.
I really liked the staff and location. People helped me out with everything needed. Location is comfortable, calm, not touristy. Many places to eat, close to the Center via metro / transport. The room was totally ok (lived on the 4th floor), above from what I expected. Haven't heard any neighbors and had a small balcony.
