How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The room where we stayed could have some improvements (e.g. the walls to be repainted) but when you are in Rome, you want to discover more of this "open air museum city" and not spend your time in the room and worry about the walls. So, Rome more and worry less!
When we looked for accomodation in Rome, we wanted something that it is also close to the main atractions and also close to the BUS Station Airport Shuttle, clean safe and confortable. We found everything what we wanted in this location. * Really close to Vatican, in 20 min you are there * Really close to the Spanish Steps: 30 min on foot as well * Close to the Airport Shuttle (SIT Shuttle Bus) - goes to both airports, ticket can be collected on site or on their website page (with a price reduction) * Many restaurants and in the area, where you could enjoy dinner. * Really safe place (4 keys to get inside) and also we felt safe also outside in the area, we did not have any issues while in Rome. There is also a small terrace. Small kettle in the room, big room and big bathroom. * Piazza Cavour just next to the place with the magnificent Supreme Court building, also faces the Tiber River. * Breakfast option: italian breakfast (cappuccino and croissant) small just next to the building, perfect for getting your day started. There is also a second option for breakfast. * The owner really nice and helpful, we left our lugagge there when we arrived and our room was ready earlier that the check in hour and he helped us with all the informations. We already recommended this place to other people and if we ever return pretty sure we will choose the same accomodation. It was perfect for our needs, anyway we spent more time outside than in the room and it met our expectations. Thanks again!

Location was awesome, security- we felt pretty safe (4 locking doors at night), breakfast is coffee & pastry at little place next door (tasty pastries). Two guys seem to run place-1 spoke very good English, the other broken English. We did go out one night to Castel Sant' Angeles & Bridge of Angels & felt safe, a lot of people out & about as well as police. The room could use some sprucing up, bed & pillows were quite hard, but we were so tired we slept. Overall the location was ideal!

Location is perfect. Room is really good , nice AC , bed Bus stop right next to house Taxi stop right next to house and I managed to get Taxi even at 3.30 AM to airport FCO the Bar downstairs for Breakfast is really good and popular.. Nice coffee

The air conditioner did not work. The terrace could use tidying up a bit. Wouldn’t take much.

No air con - wasn’t working Wifi was terrible - low data and often not working Shower pressure was poor Confusing directions as another place has same name - maybe need to provide clearer instructions for getting there.

It doesns't have breakfast. It is Just a small cooffee and a croissant at the bar next door. A small fridge in the room would make great difference.

Really lovely personell. The location is great and parking is easy - we recommend to find a „blue“ parking spot along the street and use the app „easy parking“ for a ticket. It‘s only about 5€ for the whole day with the app.

Not easy to find (first time in the late evening darkness) :D Breakfast is very poor. Air-condition in some moments was very noisy and started to "crack" and made strange sounds.
The location was excellent! Very quiet place to relax after the long walking and exploring Rome. Clean room, helpful staff. High security! Airport Bus Shuttle stops a few steps to the property.

Difficult to find (at night) door not well marked. Small bathroom. Breakfast at a café nearby was a basic pastry & coffee.
Very close to sitbus stop (vaticano) shuttle bus from airport to Vatican City area 7€. Very friendly staff.

the staff was very friendly and welcoming! the room was very clean and secure. lots of restaurants in the neighborhood, and close to public transit. coffee shop downstairs and restaurant on the corner were great!

Just the fact that they charge you for the late check in.
It is very close to the main touristic attractions, the bed is super comfortable, the bathroom is spacious and everything is very clean.

The courtyard was a bit noisy
It was quite easy to get there from the airport. The location was nice and near to the Vatican. The daily breakfast next door was very good. It is quite close to multiple bus stops and a taxi stand. The beds were very comfortable.
