Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdomto be honest, I struggle to find something I did not like, everything was there that was required and more
If you are traveling to Rome this hotel is in an excellent position, 15min walk from Spanish Steps so you can go to all the sites easily. Breakfast excellent choice and in the breakfast area there was coffee always on hand with cake and biscuits for you to eat along with a jar with some very nice sweets. Room as there was 5 off us it was a family suite which was ample for the 5 adults, very clean two bathrooms with all that was required on hand for you. Staff always smiling and were keen to help out with any questions we had, where to eat and the nearest ice cream shop !

Absolutely stunning accommodation immerse in the history of a splendid Baroque palace but still offering facilities aligned with modern technology. The breakfast was an amazing surprise combining home baked exceptional cakes and pastries as well as savoury options coming from the family, who runs the hotel, own farm. Try the eggs, and the baked vegetables which are a real treat. The decor of the rooms and throughout is elegant and embraces the history of the venue with touches of modernity and functionality. The neighbourhood has plenty of restaurant, surrounded by beautiful palaces which take you back to the days of the "Dolce Vita". The Hotel is run by the family who welcomes you warmly and provides you with the support you need. All the staff is extremely kind, efficient and professional. I have been in Rome at least 100 times but this stay, our room was at the Relais Donna Lucrezia made our trip truly special. I highly recommend it and we shall certainly be back.

United KingdomBreakfast was a great selection, tea, snacks (Biscuits / cake) available FOC through the day. Great selection available at breakfast made fresh each day. Nelson and staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The aircon in the room was extremely efficient, the balcony over the street was a nice bonus. Friday / large TV, shutters / huge new windows (Stopped any street noise) / high ceilings, plenty of storage, safe, desk area for working if needed. ticked all our boxes. the hotel is on the 2nd floor of an impressive old building served by an elevator (3 person max) ... had no issues with it, and huge stair case.

United StatesBeautiful, quiet room. Delicious breakfast with snacks and dessert options available all day. Our host kept our luggage before and after check out so we could be free to explore Rome. It’s off the main roads so it’s quiet and not too busy. Easy walk to the Trevi fountain but we took an Uber home from the Vatican after the long walk there. Elevator was so cute too.

United KingdomNothing we did not like and had zero complaints
We stayed in a Junior Suite with Balcony, a must. Excellent value for the price we paid and stayed 4 nights. Fantastic room, large, very clean, plenty of space for clothes, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities exactly as the pictures on our booking showed.. We were greeted by a Happy smiley Nelson and later met the family, all of who could not do enough for you. This is a small very friendly, safe, clean, quiet place to stay (If you open the windows, of course you can hear some noise from the street at times, but we did not get disturbed at all, during the night it was very quiet) The extra large bed was really comfortable and the pillows suited us as well. Towels were plenty and clean. The Balcony was great to have morning coffee, evening wine and watch what was happening. It is in a mixed area of small coffee shops, residential and businesses. A great place to eat just around the corner for Pizza. It was a few minutes walk to the Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain and a few minutes to get to the Hop on Hop off Bus near the Spanish Steps. Easy to get around whole of Rome on Bus or walking. Take sensible walking shoes and a Fan for hot sight seeing, especially in the Vatican. Breakfast had lots of variety hot and cold and there was always little snacks and drinks available if required.
