A small thing but the only complimentary water received was a half bottle each on arrival, and it was expensive to purchase thereafter. With peer hotels offering free bottled water each day and on request, this was a surprise and felt slightly out of touch given the cost of the stay. But it certainly did not ruin our week!

A truly relaxing break in such a beautiful setting - the photos do not do it justice. Definitely a treat but worth the expense. Our room was lovely and we enjoyed all of the facilities: pool, spa, gardens, food / bar. Yes, the hotel kitchen only does breakfast and lunch but (1) there is a good bar menu to go with sundowners and (2) there are plenty of great restaurants nearby which the staff are happy to recommend / book. And their help is readily offered - we booked a cooking class and taxis through reception, and found everyone to be friendly and helpful. The hotel is isolated (which adds to its charm), so we would recommend hiring a car so that you're not limited to taxis and can take the odd day trip around Tuscany during your stay, to nearby San Miniato or even Lucca / Florence / Pisa / Livorno which are all within an hours' drive or so.

Gorgeous room, great air con in 40 degree heat meant we slept well. Very polite and helpful staff who did all they could to make our stay easy and pleasant. Stunning pool area, only wish we could have stayed longer to make the most of the wonderful hotel. Wonderful wonderful stay.

The wifi was flakey - on multiple occasions - and mobile internet reception is not very well so that caused a few inconvenient moments of stress where we needed to be reachable but were not.

Not easy to get to - we didn't think to book a taxi and there weren't any available in San Miniato on a Sunday. The hotel were really helpful in getting us one but otherwise we would have been stuck!

Beautiful hotel, amazing grounds, stunning views, just lovely. Felt very luxurious. Staff were amazingly helpful in organising taxis and helping us out. Food and drinks were excellent. Pool was just beautiful, I could have stayed in there all day. Thanks so much - hope to come back someday!

The accommodation was fantastic, beautiful with a lovely garden and clean pool. As for the food, we had breakfast and a light snack for lunch, and travelled to nearby villages for dinner (the accommodation doesn't offer a restaurant for dinner, but we didn't mind this at all as it gives you the opportunity to explore the surrounding local excellent restaurants) - the food was amazing. The managers of the accommodation always provided us with great tips for trips and restaurants, we really appreciated that.

It should be made a bit clearer that the breakfast has included and not included items. One would expect that coffee and eggs would be part of the complementary breakfast, which it was not.

Very nice atmosphere. Gorgeous pool and landscape surroundings. The rooms are build like a separate house which provides for a very private impression.

- small room (but majority of the time outside --> not problematic for us) - far from the cities (if you are interested to visit them) & car needed - restaurant with add-ins (for instance pressed orange juice would be an extra during breakfast) & a bit over-priced in comparison with other places but very convenient and good food

for the price we paid (480€/3 nights) : - wonderful swimming pool area - great views esp. from the dinner room - good support from the reception & the boss (advise : small hike & going to Firenze by train) - very calm & resting place

No option for an evening meal at the hotel, not a big deal for us but they did loose a point.

Beautiful private rooms with terrace, stunning scenery and really friendly staff. Pool temperature was great and rooms with AC. Great vibe with horses at the bottom of the property also. Grounds immaculately kept! Also helped to assist with restaurant reservations and restaurant was exactly what we wanted! Thank you!
