Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThis is really an absolute amazing place to stay! The location within the salines is just great! If you seek an exceptional place with quietness - here you go! Nice garden, nice clean room, very good breakfast and very kind personal! Special thanks to the lady at the reception who picked me up around Nubia 😊. I will definitely come back again!

Everything! The location on the edge of the salt flats is amazing. Incredible sunset. We had a fantastic room (101) which was large and airy. Good air conditioning. Excellent shower. Outside area with a couch in a courtyard. Great breakfast. We loved the pool area. Sat and relaxed between visits to Marsala and Trapani. The perfect antidote to walking round towns. If we’d known how nice this place was we’d have stayed an extra night but unfortunately that didn’t fit with our schedule. We hope we can come back some time.

NetherlandsEvery room has their own electric panel, which is great. But in the middle of the night the pump switched on to heat up the water, also super. But the noise was so loud. Maybe they could pollster the picture frame that it is behind to damp the noise a bit. Other than that it was an amazing stay and would come back for sure for longer, something we regretted later.
The location was great, we really enjoyed the peacefulness of the place and the views. The dinner and BF were well organized and plenty of everything.

CanadaWe loved this hotel. The location is amongst farmer's fields with fabulous mountain views in the distance. We loved the grounds, very well taken care of and got to experience sunset from the pool - so beautiful! Also loved having dinner at the restaurant across the salt flats. It was an adventure to walk the little path over, food was good and it was even fun walking back in the dark (with flashlights). Giuseppe was really nice, we rented bicycles and he took great care to make sure they were inspected and adjusted perfectly. If you're looking for a bit of peace, this place is recommended.

BelgiumWe were extremely lucky and had a room upgrade, and I have tried very hard not to let that affect my review. We received a really warm welcome, which after the hotel we had just left was wonderful. The hotel is delightful. We would have been very happy to spend the afternoon by the pool, where there’s plenty of chairs and loungers, or in the cosy courtyard. The views of the salt flats are lovely. Breakfast is good and the restaurant excellent. All the staff were happy and helpful. Also the minibar is well stocked at reasonable prices.

CanadaFarmer plowing field when at the pool but that’s a one off. Restaurant at the salt museum is ok but the smaller restaurant down the beach is a much better value
Like being close to the salt flats but need a car as it’s out of town. Pool is nice and good breakfast variety.

FranceOnly two restaurants around, unfortunately the one at saline museum was closed. We don't recommend the other one "Torre di nubia", bad service, dated design in the room, small terrace next to cars and motorbikes and a spritz in a plastic cup, sorry but no. Not enough plugs in the room, none next to the bed, this is mandatory in our days. Nothing else to mention, the hotel is great !
Beautiful place in a white building looking like an hacienda. You just want to stay there the full day to relax by the swimming pool and have some drinks in the evening. The room was wide enough and bright with lovely colors. Breakfast was good in a nice room but it would be great to have it in an outside part instead. Location in the middle of the saline was great, you feel like you are privileged. You can easily walk to the saline and museum, meters away. Don't miss the sunset there!
