How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

This is a very nice and comfortable efficiency apartment that is perfect for couples or when traveling alone. The location of the apartment is right next to everything you would need for your stay in Rome. Luigi was great I had fun!

This is not "unlike" at all. :) Just as travel advice: The metro is closed at 21 o'clock (we fit very well with this but maybe this is not very good for the summer days). In any cases there are busses as well.
Everything was perfect. The property is excellent equipped, the metro station is next to the corner, multiple shops nearby where you can find what's needed. We received lot of compliments by the host. Most appreciated was the coffee. Тhe hand cream was wonderful. :) After whole day walking in the town we use to take a rest on the terrace sipping wine and slept in the most comfortable bed which we ever had while traveling. Luigi was available for us in case of need but we did not bothered him at all. Out of our expectation was the cleaning service. We felt like in hotel. The property is not in the center of the city but via metro all tourist sights are easy accessible (just read the name of the stations) and it is very suitable for Champino airport. Thank you, Luigi!

The outside washing station fornthe cars wasa bit noisy, but a closed window could do the job.
The place was super clean and modern, the room was equiped with an AC, we got little snacks, coffee, and wine from the owner, plus our clothes were washed too. The location is very near the metro line and there is a great supermarket in the neighborhood. Great stay!

Luigi was very kind and helpful. The appartment is cosy, well oragnised and clean. It was also near the metro station. We highly recommend it..

Well its not in city and we knew it before we booked so its not a disadventage but we didn’t knew that for last 18 months metro is closing early and we had to go with bus from centre which took around 50min. Still, knowing that price is cheap and neighbour is quite i would say that is excelent choice.
One of the most carying host I have ever met! Greeted us with aperitivo and kept in touch every day. Apartment was really clean and comfortable, had everything we needed. I have nothing bad to say about this place. We found some nice bars for breakfast coffee and pastries, there is also supermarket very near and metro station is just 3min walk.

The apartment is very clean and nicely furnished. We had peace and the location was very close to the subway. Our host helped us with everything we needed. Every day I received small attentions from him, which impressed me.

Luigi was very involved. He helped us in all kinds of matters and answered all our questions as soon as possible. When we got home, a surprise wine and snacks greeted us. This made us very happy. We said we had a baby. Many details about the baby were prepared at home. A new baby dining chair, manicure set and all the items that the baby would need were carefully prepared. Such a thoughtful thought surprised us. We were able to use the entire house. The kitchen met all our needs. I have visited many places in Europe, but I can say that this is the best place I have stayed. If I come to Rome again, I will contact Luigi again. Thank you very much for everything.

Great location, near metro station (markets, bakeries and other shops in close proximity). The host is very welcoming and helpful, always there for anything you need. The apartment was very well equipped. Everything is just like the photos.

Just a suggestion - to add a microwave in the kitchen.
We got complimentary breakfast for our stay and Luigi was always reachable and available to help. When we arrived, he had wine, pizza and water for us at no additional cost. The location is great, facility is clean and cozy and the Wi-Fi works well. Our stay here was super pleasant and there were no issues. Grazie Luigi!

The space was very comfortable. There is a kitchen, a little balcony, clean bathroom with a washing machine and a living room. the neighborhood is laid back and authentic, with plenty of great restaurants and cafes.

We appreciated everything ! The only thing I could think of is that the bar where we can get our breakfast (included with the room) is a 5-10 minutes walk from the appartment, so it's an information that's good to know, but the bar as a nice variety of croissants and sweets and good coffee, so I enjoyed it.
This appartment is very cute and well situated near a metro station. Raffaele and Luigi were incredibly nice and they made sure we were comfortable (we were welcomed with a glass of prosecco !) The appartment is very clean and we enjoyed our stay !
