Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicThere really wasn't anything that could need immediate improvement. Maybe except the rather prevalent noise coming from the inner yard. The breakfast room could be a bit bigger as it got crowded pretty quickly.
Without a doubt the best hotel I've ever been to trough my years of keen travelling! The aparetment was spotless, spatious, modern-equipped with everything needed, including a huge dishwasher, fridge, microwave with grill, USB outlet for charging, smart TV. Fully equipped bathroom with an enormous shower, including shower slippers (!) and a bidet. Cleverly done indirect A/C. Huge mirror and wardrobe, abundance of different forms of lighting. Big comfortable bed. Rich breakfast buffet with very tasty coffee. The receptionist Alessandra was just lovely - very attentive, pleasant, and helpful. Hug on checkout included! :)

United StatesSometimes the shower water took a little while to heat up.
The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful before checkin, and after checkout. Very easy to be helped as an English speaker. The hotel breakfast was very good and filling as well. Not too far of a walk to the colosseum!

PolandThe room was slightly unclean when I entered. There were traces of debris on the floor. The hair dryer was broken. When I used it, there was something getting heated up due to friction inside the device and as a result, there was burnt smell. So, I could not use it. I request the staff to replace it. The view from the room is not great but decent as I could see only other buildings.
The room was very neat and the beds were really comfortable. Very spacious too. The staff, both at the reception and the breakfast were friendly and professional. The breakfast was awesome with lot of different options!

CyprusWe had a room on the 3rd floor next to the elevator. Unfortunately, it was quite noisy especially early in the morning. The mattress wasn't very comfortable. The hotel is located far from the city center and though the bus station was near by the bus was also too crowded.
The room was very clean and they were changing towels daily. The breakfast was decent, and the staff was helpful.

IndonesiaWe booked studio room, there is no kitchen utensils available (if you refer to hotel's responses in every comment about it you will find a response that kitchen utensils only available in studio room). They refer us to park in the parking facility next door due to car size (SUV cant fit in the hotel parkin) Coffee capsule available in the room for day 1 only as a welcome drink. We stayed for 3 nights and no refill for day 2 and day 3. Apparently we have to ask if we want refill the coffee and charges applied.
The room is large enough for family of 3. Near a bus stop, but we prefer to use a taxi. They offer parking but dont tell you its for small cars only, and will only tell you this just before you get there, we chose it because of the parking then had to park somewhere else. You recieve free coffe the day you get there but if you stay more than 1 night they dont refill? As its a welcome gift. Also we had an apartment that is supposed to have utensils but didnt, so we couldnt use the facilities properly in the room. The front of house were very freindly until we gave feedback and then became super defensive. Overall an ok hotel just dont book if you have a car

GermanyOur room didn't have good sound isolation, so we could hear almost all activity in the neighboring room. Luckily, the fellow guests were mostly quite except for one night where had to ask them to tone down the TV - not something you'd expect to do in a hotel. The room had a small kitchen and fridge, but the fridge was too loud so we would turn it off at night. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming as some parts like fruits and fried bacon/sausages under supplied on some days.
Friendly staff and clean rooms in a relatively quite area despite a busy road nearby. There is a bus station within 5 minute- and a subway station within a 10-15 minute walk. Bonus points: * you can enjoy jogging in a pristine park/church area within 10 minute run to the east * nearby street boasts a few local cafes where you can enjoy good coffee and pastry for local price

GermanyJust a small area for breakfast comparing to the size of the hotel, very busy at peak time. Poor sound isolation in room, you hear everything from the next door. And kitchen in our room was not fully equipped, no coffee machine/stove/microwave nothing but empty shelves.
Staffs were really nice and friendly, they made you feel welcomed and always trying to help. Nice breakfast and fresh made coffee, staff working in the kitchen and barista were very nice and friendly even though they got hundreds of dirty plates to clean.

AustriaThe bed was terribly hard though, almost impossible to sleep in. Hotel accepted early check-in, however at the property they told us it wasn't possible after all. Also online check-in was a waste of time since we had to repeat check-in locally at the counter, because "online does not sync with our software". Location OK, but not convenient - far from city center, about 15 mins walk to nearest metro station, noisy street in front, hotel is located within a rather ugly office building.
Rooms functional, clean, at least what you can expect at this price. Maybe like an Italian version of Scandic. Breakfast was OK, not best-in-class, but again this is what you can expect. Lobby and breakfast area is nicely done, liked the design.

United Arab EmiratesI didn’t understand how the safety locked in the room has keys and not a digital version. Which seemed odd to what is supposed to be a new hotel.

GermanyThe hotel has not enough secured parking space and even if they would have had enough parking space you have to pay extra on top of the price of the hotel which is too much in my opinion. The breakfast itself was nice but the organization of it was bad. We almost couldn't find a place to sit which because all of the tables were full of dirty dishes of the other hotel customers that had eaten before us. There was only one employee that had to clean, prepare coffee and so on.
The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. All of the stuff in the room is new and modern. The receptionist that welcomed us was very nice and helpful. The hotel was easily reachable with a bus. The bus stop was in front of the hotel building. So we never had to drive our car in the centre.

MaltaDespite the friendly staff, my recent stay at the Hotel left much to be desired due to cleanliness issues. Unfortunately, I found hairs in the towels and on the bed. Additionally, it appeared that the rooms had not been thoroughly vacuumed. Hoping for improvements in these areas for future guests.

United KingdomAt about 23pm on January 19, I pressed the button on the sink. I didn't know that the switch to unclog the sink was behind the faucet, so I went downstairs to find the front desk. I asked him if he could get help to go upstairs and he said he was the only one in the hotel and he couldn't leave the front desk. I probably know that it doesn't take a professional maintenance worker to fix it, just a common sense of life to find a switch. So I asked him, I go back to take a picture to show him, maybe he looked at the picture will know how to solve my problem. However, he is very impatient and does not want to talk to me and help me solve the problem. He just mechanically repeated one sentence: Wait until 7:30 tomorrow to come down. Despite my repeated insistence that the problem was not solved, I was unable to use the sink. The employee on duty was stupid, unflexible and lacking empathy, and did not really solve the problem for the customer
The rooms are large and fully equipped with breakfast and coffee
