Bathroom was wet already when we got there, but it wasn't that big of a problem as we stayed only one night.

They didnt have any problem with our delay with check-in. Staff was really helpful. Room was small but clean and beds were comfortable and we could use kitchen with all the necessary facilities :)

No lighter provided to light the stove. You have to climb the hill everyday to get into town or to the railway station, and the minimarkets are not that nearby for provisions.

Right next to the beach. Good for self catering. Spacious. Felt a bit like a coastal farmstay as they keep chickens and geese and cats on site..

It is a very nice place to stay, right next to the beach. The centre of the town is really close, but you have to walk up all the stairs. Not all the staff can speak English, but they are very eager to find someone to speak with you, so do not worry. The apartment was cosy and clean.

The breakfast at the restaurant was not good, no choice whatsoever.

The holiday apartment is almost right on the beach with a relaxed atmosphere on the foot of the cliffs going up to Tropea old town. There is nothing grand about the apartment, but it is clean with a good shower and comfortable beds. The kitchen is outside on the veranda with a table and chairs and has almost a camping feel to it. The parking is included and right on your doorstep, free. The restaurant is a few meters away and part of the hotel. There are another two restaurants right on the beach. There is an outside kitchen sink (with no plug) a four plate gas stove, but no kettle, toaster, microwave, oven or outside electrical plugs. We were provided with pots without lids and mismatched crockery and cutlery, where the chickens roam free and a couple of ducks too. The basin in the bathroom didn't have a plug either, so bring your own. The staff were very friendly and very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay there and would definitely go back if ever we should visit Tropea again.

Only bad thing was paper tin walls could hear the guests in the other rooms in the toilet, on the phone or even coughing very bad paper tin walls very noisy.

There are pros and cons to an outdoor kitchen. A large Italian family of 10 turned up next door on our last night, they were so loud that we couldn’t sit outside, so you’re limited to only a bedroom if you have noisy neighbours.

Amazing location right on the beach, fresh lemon tree right outside, free parking, clean and simple indoor space, good shower heat and pressure, sweet outdoor kitchen with table/your living space, lovely for cooking in the evening.

If you don't have any means of transportation apart from being a pedestrian (like me) the trainstation is a bit far off with a trolley, so are supermarkets... But that's not a very big issue

A very nice and quiet place to spend some days in wintertime. I stayed for a week. At the day of departure, I was supposed to leave before 10 AM, but because of a late flight back home, the friendly owners let me stay until 5 PM!! There was a restaurant at 30 meter from my room, at the beach, and the accomodation is just below the stairs to the historic upper-city.

The WiFi was shocking and there were few cooking utensils, plates and bowls etc. Lighting in the bathroom was poor. The bed was rock hard.

The location was great and the staff were really friendly.

I don't understand why there isn't a grand 7-star hotel here yet. This property has one of the best locations in all of southern Italy! It's true! Ok, not yet. But why do you don't turn these old battered, well-worn, decrepit booths, sheds, and shacks into ruins and not build in their place something at least a little bit beautiful, modern, and true Italian? It's a big shame. Ok, not yet too. But why don't you clean these run-down apartments properly? It's worth doing the dishwashing (or changing) sometimes, it's worth doing laundry sometimes, and it's worth sweeping the yard at least sometimes! Very untidy, dirty, and careless. Although, of course, the advantages described by me are much stronger than these household trifles.

The only plus is the location. Just from the threshold of the house, you look at the famous Tropea rock with its majestic caves and Santuario di Santa Maria dell'Isola di Tropea, they are just next to you. The fantastic Blue Flag beaches of Tropea are not just close to you, but just in a few steps! Raising your head, you see charming old palm trees and an amazing ancient city on grandiose rocks. This is fantastic. But this is where the advantages of the property finally end. Oh, no, I'm sorry. Chickens, ducks, geese, cats, and dogs live in your yard. And in the morning you will be woken up by... roosters! This is great fun!

Price is quite high. I would like to see more investments in the place. The price we payed is quite high, and would be nice to see next time some solar panels or solar water heater, which can be used to make a shadow over the parking place, etc. Or at least simple shadow, like it is done in a nearby camping.

It is super close to the beach where you can go for a swim or enjoy sunset. Parking is included, otherwise it is quite a busy place and might be difficult to park.
