Everything is showing the care of the host for her guests. Everything you might need is already there 🙂. The location is great….only 10 minutes away from Bellagio by car, in a quiet and peaceful charming village where you can have a very nice breakfast just across the street and with a very frindly restaurant 2 minutes walking distance from the residence.

Everything was great. Mrs. Roberta was amazing. Despite our late arrival, she was waiting for us personally, great communication, all via whats app / sms. The accommodation is perfect, fully equiped, the entrance from the garden directly to the water. It was a wonderful holidays and thank you once again Mrs. Roberta :)

the apartment was fully equipped. In kitchen we had all what we need to prepare a maeals. The bedroom had a comfortable bed. Directly from window we saw lake, in garden we had sunbeds.

Parking can be tricky near the house, but if you don't have a long/low car, Roberta may let you park directly by the house.

This place is just special. Starting with arrival when you are welcomed by Roberta, a lovely host who explained everything and gave us great tips for our stay. The apartments are recently renovated, cozy, and with everything you might need for even a longer stay. Then there is the location. You can use the garden freely so make sure you enjoy breakfast or an evening drink by the lake and enjoying the view of 2500m peaks on the other side. There is a small shop to buy supplies just a few meters from the house and a lovely restaurant by the church 1 minute away. We also took advantage of a boat/paddleboard rental company based just next to the house. Bellagio is just 10 minutes drive away and you can reach Como in about 45 minutes. We will remember our stay at Residence Matilde fondly.

We enjoyed our honeymoon and short stay at Residence Matilde. Roberta, our host was so accomodating and made sure we were comfortable and well looked after. The accommodation was spacious, clean and modern with kitchen and washing facilities. Located in Vassena, we enjoyed being able to drive to Bellagio and day trip to Varenna as we pleased. There is a small supermarket, and a local cafe nearby. Highly recommend your stay here.

This is a slice of heaven. We didn't want to leave. It's a house with 4 flats, each off the immaculate hallway that leads down to the garden. This was perfect to sit in and gaze at the amazing view across the lake and mountains. The dog loved the secure garden too. You can drive to the door to drop off and then park next to the church, just a few metres away. The apartment was spotless and beautifully refurbished, as if brand new. Spacious and very comfortable. A little balcony too. In the tiny village is everything you could need: great restaurant, cafe/bar, chemist, shop, ferry stop. It is less than a 10 minute drive to Bellagio and we found it easy to park, in the morning, early May. The thing that made this exceptional, apart from the location, was Roberta who was do friendly, professional and helpful. Thank you. You made every just that bit better!

The village is very small, and there are no grocery stores nearby. Only one resturant in the area (a very good one). I felt the matress and pillows where too soft, but i geuss it is a matter of personal preference. The street is extremely narrow, so when you first arrive and when you leave - it is very hard to get close by with a big car. However, throughout the stay we did not have to go in and out, as there is free, accessible parking down the road.

Beautiful location by the lake, lovely garden and fabulous apartment. Bar and restaurant just 3 mins walk away and Bellagio 10 mins by car or half an hour on the ferry.
