Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyCheck in and checkout time were not fairly. You should serve people, they should not serve you! Putting penalty for late check in is not normal, you should have some one 24 hours there.
Import your breakfast quality and quantity, put a good coffee machine, add more items

GermanyIt is more like a family complex, so there were very few things to do for a young couple. The pool was usually full. We could hear the families in the other rooms, especially the noise of little kids (crying, fighting, etc.)
The pool area was very nice. The staff very polite and everything was clean. The cleaning service was excellent. The room was a bit dark and the bed not the most comfortable, but overall is a good price for money.

+ Nice hotel with clean and fully equipped rooms + Pool was a big bonus and we enjoyed it everyday - clean, reasonably crowded, enough sunbeds + Public and private beaches were in walking distance + Parking in convenient distance from the hotel (across the street) + Very friendly and helpful staff, one receptionist even speaks Czech + Daily animation program for kids (our 8 years old daughter liked that even if she doesn't speak Italian or English) + Close to restaurants and bars

DenmarkWifi works, but was sometimes laggy. The pool can be slightly crowded, but that all depends on when you visit. Otherwise, no real complaints :-)
Beautiful apartment hotel with a cozy pool area with a small snack bar. Close to the beach, and in a small city where you can find groceries and restaurants along with a market each night (while we were here during the high season). Free parking included, and the possibility to charge electrical vehicles for free - which we also appreciated a lot. Nice and spacious apartments with the most important kitchen equipment, and a large bathroom. Daily cleaning by friendly staff and new towels every day - which was really great service! Central location for visiting Lucca, Pisa, Livorno, Volterra, Siena, etc. - or for going south towards Piombione and Grossetto (be ready for really bad roads in that direction, though!)

SwitzerlandThe beach that was recommended by the hotel was quiet a bad experience. First the distance: the similar beach is much closer from the hotel. Second: the price for one umbrella, subbed and a chair was 25 euros a day, moreover, they are charging extra for the shower and toilets. I really couldn’t understand such a high price and no facilities included in it. Additionally the attitude of the stuff to the clients wasn’t nice at all. Do not recommend La Conchiglia beach
Nice complex, safe parking, restaurants, shops and entertainment parks for children are within minutes walk.

The pool area was great for the family and always very clean. Staff all very helpful. Breakfast was good but too expensive for a family to have regularly.

Czech RepublicThe hotel is really nice. The staff, the rooms and their equipment, every day cleaning, abundance of clean towels, very cleaning swimming pool with little jacuzzi, free and secure parking lot. There are not many shops nor restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel and there aren't many activities at sea, but otherwise is really great. Better with car than without.

United KingdomThe walls are all but soundproof, there are no mosquito nets on the windows and french doors making it impossible to keep them out and they are a big deal in a place that 50 years ago was a marsh and it still has plenty of canals running around with stagnant water. The doors of all the rooms are so hard to close that people tend to smash them every time they go in and out their room making the walls vibrate and producing a lot of noise. Definitely something very easy to fix with some oil but management clearly doesn't want to be bothered with looking after details in this place.
Nice pool - not too big for the amount of rooms in the structure, but still a good one. Structure is close to the sea near a large public beach. The village where the hotel is situated is not Vada but Mazzanta and is a bit of a dead town, but a nice quiet place for families.

NorwayThe receptionists we met were not very helpful or service-minded, the food is children-friendly but not very exciting. The elevator to our floor did not work.

SerbiaI didn't quite understand the concept of apartment vs hotel service in a hotel. It's kinda new to me it has to be a region specific thing, since I've travelled the world and this is the first time I have seen it being worked out like this. Basically if you pay for the hotel service, you will get daily cleanup, and if you pay for apartment, you will get a one mid-stay cleanup. And this is just fine, because really I don't need daily cleanup of the hotel room. But what I didn't expect is that the sheets changing was not included in the mid-stay cleanup. Apartment was cleaned, but the beda were made with existing sheets. This is my only negative, but since maybe I misunderstood the rules, I will give a high grade not taking this into the account.
Room (superior apartment with one bedroom) was quite nice. Clean. Comfortable pull-up sofa and double bed. It seems like it was recently renovated. Hotel staff, no complaints, allways there to help and answer questions. Nearby parking in the shadow. Pool, although not very large wasn't overcrowded. There was allways enough sunbeds for everybody near the pool. I would like to praise the restaurant/caffe staff for allways being nice. I never used it for meals just drinks/snacks, so I can't comment on the food.

GermanyGood hotel in a quiet location, all amenities in the room, kitchen and crockery, air conditioning in every room. A large pool for adults and a shallow pool for children, a separate room with a pool of warm water. Near the beach, 10 minutes walk, fine sand and not deep sea. The village has everything you need, in the evening there are restaurants with delicious pizza, an alcohol store, attractions for children and adults. Close to supermarkets, by car 10-15 minutes. Comfortable rest for a family with children or the elderly.

Czech RepublicThe kitchen unit would need to be replaced, the drawers and doors would not close properly. The walls are not soundproofed and every word can be heard from the neighboring rooms.
The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, minor problem with room equipment was immediately resolved. The hotel is well located few steps from the main street where are restaurants and shops. The public beach is about 500 m from the hotel (pleasant walk through the costal forest). The hotel pool is well maintained and there are plenty of sun loungers around the pool.
