How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Some of the fixtures and fittings (handle on wardrobe and shutter cord) were worn out/broken. The bathroom was lovely and big but only shampoo and soap supplied. No instructions of how to work the bath tap! Breakfast wasn’t great either. Having said that, the location was brilliant and the staff were fantastic so we would definitely stay there again (but would go with the non breakfast option).
The staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to help us. They made a big effort for my birthday and it felt very special. They helped us choose a restaurant and printed out the directions. They communicated well with us snd each other. The location is fantastic- near the train station and within walking distance of major sites.

The only heating available is the air conditioning fan. As it was pretty cold in the room when I arrived, heating took quite a while.
I liked the room size, the bedsize and the quality of the furniture. Bathroom is also very big. Staff was very responsive. They allowed me to checkin at 10,30 am, so I didn’t have to walk in Rome with backpack.

Just a bit too noisy but very manageable.
Room was great, very big with a very comfortable bed. Extremely well located, just a walk away from Termini and the historic center of Rome.

Nothing..the shower pressure was a bit light the first day but i asked Joanna about it and the next day it was fuxed
I loved the staff especially Joanna, so sweet, welcoming abd attentive.The hotel is like a little hidden gem.it is decorated in a period style with tall classical ceilings and ornate coving..it has a very charming old style elevator that seems like its just.out of a art nouveau Poirot movie its gorgeous cant believe how this can be a three star!

Some points that displeased me: 1) They offer shampoo in a small, individual portion, which wasn't enough in my case, and also, they don't offer conditioner, which forced me to buy separately since my hair was “unmanageable” ; 2) Bar soap, also offered in a small individual format, which for me is not very hygienic or practical. So I also bought a liquid one; 3) The shower drain did not drain the water, although they gently tried to fix it, water still accumulated; 4) Expensive breakfast for what is offered
The location is great with easy access to public transportation. Very friendly staff. The room is very spacious and clean. Quiet area.

When I made the booking I thought I was booking a typical hotel where there is a restaurant and I can dine in. I was terribly disappointed by the lack. Breakfast was also not good for me. too many sweets and cold meats so I opted to eat a another hotel close by. Thankfully I had not paid for breakfast as part of my booking.
The location is just 10/10. The reception area is manned 24/7. The room was clean and so comfortable. The temperature in the room was also perfect not cold and yet not too warm. I traveled when it was cold in Rome. The staff was courteous and arranging late checkout was a breeze.

Provision of milk in the bedrooms for making coffee and tea.
Breakfast was quite good but continental breakfast at a Premier Inn is better. Getting a normal cup of tea with cold milk was a bit of an issue.

The entrance area is in need of decoration. The rooms are not well noise proofed with noise from the road and businesses below waking you early in the morning. It seemed expensive for the limited facilities.
The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. The metro was nearby. The streets around the property were dirty with lots of rubbish.
