Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaNot much. Just a few finishing touches that could’ve been looked at, that comes with wear and tear of any place.
The location of Suites Pantheon was incredible - right in the center and walking distance to all the important places. One of my favourite parts about the stay was the breakfast at the cafe downstairs! The team was very helpful in organising a taxi for us as well from the airport to the location, which made our entry into rome easy and seamless. The hosts were very very helpful ♥️

MaltaThere is no elevator and the room is on the second floor which is fine if you're travelling light. Also, they were working on the facade of the building so we couldn't open the window shutters which was a bummer since we got no view or natural light.
Excellent location. Walking distance from the bus stop, shops, restaurants and landmarks. The breakfast was simple but sufficient and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Our host was very responsive and incredibly helpful, he even gave us a list of all the local places we should visit and showed us how to get around which was great!

AustraliaThe rooms don’t have much sound proofing; can hear when your neighbours come/go very loudly. the shower had poor drainage and the base filled up to almost ankle depth when in use. the floor was dusty and clothes left on the ground would get covered in dust. they were also doing renovations to the front of the building - our room had scaffolding up against the windows (no previous communication about this) so couldn’t open the windows or even the curtains as the workers could see in. they started work very early and woke us up every day.
great location, very central. great common area with coffee making and fridge. host was great providing a map and suggestions and great info. room was comfortable and as pictured.

Maltathe facade needs a serious makeover (especially the door), at first I thought we had the wrong address but we where at the correct location. The rubbish is collected at the entrance so as soon as you go in you're greeted with the aroma. There is no lift, you need to climb 2 flights of stairs to get to the apartment and the stairs/walls to get to the apartment also need a serious make over. First impression is always important and that is what you're going to see first thing through the door.
The location is amazing, we walked everywhere and there are lots of restaurants in the vicinity to choose from. The apartment was very clean, had a private bathroom and had free coffee for all guests. The host was kind enough to let us leave the luggage in the common area of the apartment since we had a flight late in the evening. Whenever we had a query the host was there to help and responsive.

Singapore-the building does not have an elevator and the suites are on the 3rd floor so if you have a lot of luggages it is quite difficult to manage getting up and would personally suggest you avoid it (works better for those travelling light -the building is also very old so when you enter it doesn’t have the best feeling especially on holiday -we were provided some sachets of shampoo etc but would be better for them to have small bottles so it’s easier to use - shower area is quite small overall it’s a good property to stay at if you want a clean room with a good location and you can handle all points mentioned but I think it should cost a bit less for what you’re actually getting
-the actual room is really nice / clean and fully equipped with iron + hair dryer etc -the location is great - walking distance from piazza navona and a lot good restaurants / bars etc
