Central location within walking distance of most attractions, with plenty of places to eat/drink but very quiet. Room was super-clean and comfortable, and facilities excellent.

The ambience of the cloisters setting is totally lost by rennovations ongoing and rubbish stacked up in the courtyard. Paper cups and plastic stirrers are not great for hot drinks!

The central location was key for us and despite this the property benefits from lack of street noise. The room was spotlessly clean and the beds comfortable.

Tucked away behind a church, the hotel doesn't look like much but the room was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. The staff were very helpful at check in and provided plenty of cold bottled water which we appreciated. From the photos my expectations were low but I found the room was great. The location was perfect for little cafes and bars, and very quiet and secure.

Very spartan room, empty walls. Not a word of welcome as I arrived, only the strictly necessary words. I would also suggest to reword the introductory email in friendly language.

Location could not be better, and very quiet (only the birds woke me up). The bed was comfy. The cold welcome on my arrival was somewhat compensated by the very kind host as I left.

Everything was perfect.

Fantastic location in the heart of Bologna. All sights are within walking distance. The room was extremely clean, with large and very comfortable beds and incredibly quiet. The owner was very kind and we left our luggage due to our early arrival at San Martino bistro which is opposite and the food is great. I highly recommend Residenza San Martino.

Simply furnished room in beautifully quiet building bang in the centre. Warm welcome and car park adjacent. San Martino is still occupied as a Carmelite monastery.

The room is clean, the bathroom is excellent; I enjoyed and appreciated the heating in the evening and morning. However I didn't know why is it that I don't have a proper blanket other than the bed cover; The bed has one pillow - so while in bed, it's less pleasant to lean on the wall. But my major surprise is not having a cup - nice to have a kettle in the room but drinking from a disposable, felt somewhat awkward. The main thing for me is that the picture attached to the place is not a picture of the place but of a nearby building.

The place is excellently located in terms of Bologna tourist attractions. It is certainly the right place to be. Feels very safe. And the place has a nearby restaurant where I enjoyed an excellent dinner with 10% off.

The location is perfect to explore the city by foot. We had a rental car that we left with the private parking attendants . The parking is on a piazza right by the entrance of the property, you leave your car keys with the attendants, they are super friendly and helpful, cost 25EUR for 24h. The check in at the property was very smooth and staff very friendly. The accommodation is basic but very clean, quiet, ideally placed, we would definitely go back !

There is no lift to the rooms. Bathrooms are ok but showing their age.

Located within the historic district, it is within an easy walk of a attractions. Check-in was easy and friendly and there is parking (paid for) directly outside, in front of the church. The single rooms were comfortable and of reasonable size and, looking out into the courtyard, it was quiet.

I liked everything. it’s a plane room but that goes with the history of the building.

The friendly person at check in. fantastic location and excellent value for money. No breakfast or other luxuries but there are not needed as it’s so centrally located.
