How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nicoló is a very great host, the place was very clean and perfectly situated. A quiet place with a lot of space for a couple. Nicoló responds to every demand that you can have and is very flexible about your trips needs. i recommend this place 100% !

From our arrival we felt the warmth and kind behavior of the owner, Nicolo. He was very accommodating with our demands and gave us many useful information and recommendations about our stay in Rome! The rooms were clean and the staff very kind, in a very secure region, ideal for a first stay in the city! We hope to have the opportunity to revisit the city and Rhome hosting.

Very clean, best location for visiting the city and also a quite area with lots ot cute bars and restaurants. Nice shower as well and a comfortable bad.

The host was really welcoming and friendly. He gave us many useful recommendations for our trip and was always available to answer any questions. The room was very clean and it was a convenient location for getting around Rome.

if i have to say something “I don’t like” probably only the weird sound coming from the toilet contraption. Otherwise, everything was perfect.
Our host was most gracious! it was the last leg of our trip and we were literally weary travelers looking for legit rest and relaxation. Even if we stayed only for 1 night, Nicolò made us feel so at home, very warm and accommodating. Room was very clean, shower + heater functioning perfectly, location is a dream (the best so far)! all in all it was exactly what we hoped for. will definitely stay again on our next Roman holiday. Grazie mille Nicolò!

The apartment was on the smaller side, but as we were outside all day we didnt need much space.
Our stay in Rome was perfect thanks to Nicolo at Rhome Hosting. He went above and beyond to help us with recommendations or anything we needed help with during our stay. The cleanliness and location of the apartment was great for us.

Rhome Hosting and Nicolo the owner were really amazing that made our stay unforgettable! The location is very close at the Vatican City and our room was looking at the walls literally. The room was big with great bathroom and a king size bed perfect for resting after walking all day at Romes sightseeing’s and was cleaned every day. Wifi signal was good and never had a problem with connectivity. Nicolo welcomed us from the beginning he was very kind and there to help us when needed and give us great suggestion’s of restaurant’s and cafe’s to live it like locals do! Would definitely stay there if we visit Rome again!

air conditioner didn't work well, but that didn't bother us much
Close to Vatikan. Everyday cleaning and bed making. Comfortable bed. Great host that can give you advices for some good restaurants and others. Late check-in was allowed for free, luggage storage after check-out was possible and kindly given.

Everything was great! Perfect location! We want to say big thank you to the host! He not just welcomed us very warmly, ordered our transfers for us from the airport, but also gave us great recommendations where to eat. And everytime as we meet he asked us if everything is good, so thank you again for warm welcome!

There was genuinely nothing not to like at Rhome Hosting.
Everything about Rhome Hosting was amazing. The location was brilliant, our room literally looked over at the Vatican. Rome Hosting has all that you needed and was vey clean. The Host, Nicolò is just invaluable. He met us directly outside on our arrival and took us to our room. He advised us on several landmarks and provided us with guidance all throughout our stay. When I return to Rome again we will most definitely stay here again.

Great location, comfortable, clean, large, air conditioned und quite room. Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops around the corner, best ice-cream shop next door. Subway, busses, scooters-all there.

The room doesn’t get as cold as you’d like it to, but that’s apparently due to Italian law instead of the AC
Nice stay and the Host is extremely friendly and helpful, you can ask him for recommendations and he will provide you with thoughtful suggestions.

The localisation is super, the view on the Vatican and the room very clean! And a big thank you to Nicolò for his availability, hospitality and advise. He is a really kind person. I recommend Rhome Hosting ! :)
