Magnificent views, delicious food (the chef is fantastic), friendly staff... three cats and a pretty fox. It all makes this guesthouse a perfect place to stay and relax. We would definitely visit it again.

It is a spectacular location for endless sea views, gorgeous forest and fauna, swimming coves, and star gazing. The Rifugio di Mare is run by a friendly and dedicated group of individuals who are also the visionaries behind the rehabilitation of the 2nd World War stone structures and paths into an ecological sanctuary and place of peace. After a day of walking, sun and swimming, we returned for the 8 p.m. four-course dinner of regional dishes beautifully executed in the open kitchen. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and modern modern. The original structure, which houses 5 rooms, the restaurant and breakfast room, is well integrated into the landscape, all operating with self-sufficient solar energy. Highly recommend. We will be back.

The rooms at night would get hot hot and I and allergic to a/c. However overall the room was good

The location was unbeatable!! The hotel is situated in the middle of a natural park and it’s absolutely beautiful. It had a very nice “private” beach in the middle of the park. The restaurant is super cool, very nice food and great cocktails!

The shuttle can be a little annoying but they were very accommodating about it. The breakfast leaves a little bit to be desired but they had nice coffee and pastries.

It was such an amazing secluded location. So peaceful and calm in the middle of nature. The views were exceptional and it may have the best sunset in the area. The staff was very nice and we enjoyed having dinner there both nights, which also happened to be a great value ($35 euro per couple per night). We would definitely come back.

Very quiet, remote and comfortable hotel in the heart of nature and not far from some great beaches (by car) Comfortable room in a well-renovated refuge. Wonderful views. It was so surprising to find ourselves in the middle of preserved natural park having high-standard dinner and drinks. The staff is more than welcoming and kind, always there to content you with great services and recommendations. We've spent a wonderful time there.

    The shower wasn’t hot.

My family w two teenagers loved staying at Rifugio! The location is beautiful and peaceful, with many walking paths around the guest house. The family room was well appointed, super clean, and spacious. The staff were all smiley and friendly and accomodating. The dinner was excellent and is not to be missed. An intimate experience w chef-made food that rivals a fine dining city experience. It was my son’s birthday and the staff prepared delicious chocolate cake for his breakfast. We highly recommend Rifugio di Mare!

This place is unique. The renovation of the old barracks, the location, views and respect for its place in an ecologic park make for a beautiful, relaxing, bespoke experience. The staff are so warm and friendly always happy to help & guide but also give you space. Simone, Doris and the team really make you feel welcome. I commend them for trying to offer high quality alternative low impact tourism. The food is excellent, locally sourced, probably the best in Alghero. The rooms are well appointed too. The rifugio is in the ecological protected site so the only neighbours you have are birds, foxes, plants and trees. It's a good walk up from the carpark about 40 mins but there is an electric shuttle bus. We used bikes to get around which was simple and a great way to explore. There are gorgeous little quiet coves for swimming in the park you get them to yourselves. If you are the sort of person who enjoys being independent, nature, walking, cycling, good architecture and food then this is certainly a great place to stay. If you prefer lying by a pool and and being near facilities then I would recommend coming the the restaurant at least once to see what you think. The rifugio is in its first year, I suspect it will become very popular indeed.

the Rifugio is situated atop a cliff, in a natural reserve. you can’t access it by car, but you will be driven by golf cart to the property from the entrance gates of the parc. incredibly beautiful nature, amazing sunsets, super nice hosts and delicious food! definitely recommend having dinner there!

Love this place. The food is delicious. The place is in the middle of the national park and it is amazing the connection with nature. The room it was modern and cool . To arrive there you have to leve your car outside the national park and they take you with a golf car , a hole experience and lovely to disconnect from the city.

The place has absolutely exceeded my expectations. It's a great and sustainable place with lovely people who run it and interesting history. The rooms are simple, but given the location it suits the place. It's a wonderful experience to enjoy the cocktails overlooking the sunset and bay and try their tasting selection menu prepared by their chef (people come here also only for the dinner and to enjoy the views). The place is 3km away from the closest parking, so if you are not fond of walking, you can use their electric shuttle. Definiately recommend! Good luck guys!

Nothing to truly dislike. They just started so they are still figuring a few things out but they more than compensate with their availability and kindness.

The room was unbearably hot at night even though outside temp dropped down at night. They do not run the AC at night I assume because they are on solar / batteries. We had the windows open but still did not sleep well at all. It would probably be fine most of the year but we were there in the middle of summer so be aware of the time of year you are travelling (overheard other guests telling the staff they also couldn’t sleep due to the heat so it wasn’t just us). Also be aware it is very isolated, 3.5 km from where you park your car. They have a mini bus that can take you back and forth but it is only at scheduled times.

Stunning building and surrounds. Very tranquil and relaxing. Restaurant has nice food and cocktails. Room was large, clean and spacious.
