How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Bedroom filthy thick dust under the bed as my pen rolled underneath. Very noisy gypsies took many rooms late at night ..drinking outside until the early hours.. No breakfast offered as locked up and no staff even awake at 0700. Went without for both mornings! Ordered a Calzone which was from the 'chef', soggy mushroom slop inside the Calzone which must have been lying around for a couple of weeks! No taste at all. Only one bedside light working. Uncomfortable noisy bed springs digging into my backside. Beds must be many years old. Staff have given up. Would be better to close the hotel.

one of the worst hotels in a long time. I barely made it in before 23h arrival time, although listing mentioned 24h desk. The staff closed all doors right after coming in, lucky me. No breakfast in the morning albeit it was mentioned. It was even an issue to return the room key..just dropped it though an open window, where one of the staff just got up after me knocking on the door for a while. At 9am. In general, everything felt very run down.

I arrived at midnight after a long journey. The door was locked(even tho it says 24h reception) and this lad comes to me saying he will open only if i pay, even tho i paid before through the app. He didnt accept my booking confirmation because he didn't remember seeing payment or my name. All of that is happening with sign language because he refused using his google translate( i couldn't use mine because i didn't have internet). The room was okay. Breakfast was basically coffee and cookies and i really needed that computer that was mentioned, but it was nowhere to be found.

TOO MUTCH TO COMENT PHOTOS AVALIBLE
THIS WAS THE WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER SYAYED IN I THINK I SHOULD HAVE MY MONEY BACK I HAVE PHOTOS OF THE DIRTY PLACE AND BEDS. THE THINGS LISTED DID NOT EXSIST WE LEFT ATER WHEN WE WENT DONE FOR BREAKFAST THE BOY SAID 10 (WE THINK) THEN HE WENT BACK TO BED HE HAD JUST CAME FROM9 WE COULD SEE THS IN THE ROOM THEY KEPT THE LINEN THE WHOLE PLACE WAS ENCIRCLED BY FACTORYS AND NONE OF THE VEIWS WERE POSIBLE THIER ARE OTHER THINGS NO OF THEM COULD SPEAK ENGLISH WE HAD TO GO TO A SUPERMARKET AND ASK ALADY TO WRITE DOWN WHAT TIME IS BREAKFAST IN ITALIAN SO WE COULD FIND OUT

A horror story. I arrived. They didn´t know that I was coming. Not a single word of English was understood. They wanted payment again from me although I prepaid. There was no heating, the room was maybe 14 Celsius. There was no warm water available in the room. The walls were smeared with a pencil, in the bathroom was mold. During the night loud slamming of doors outside woke me up several times. In the morning I was the only person in the building. Still no warm water in the room. No breakfast, although I paid for it. I received no invoice, as nobody was there. Around 7:30 I laid the room keys on the doormat and ran as quickly as I could. Never again !

Everything. You can never ever booking that hotel . Is very very bad . Cannot sleep at night as they have to many mosquito, and very dirty . The staff is very bad .

Not well maintained. Shower defective. Curtains too small for the windows, no privacy The pool filter has been out of use for years. How clean is the pool??? Lots of rubbish and not well maintained. More beautiful in photo than in reality

Staff very unprofessional, they not try to help with misunderstood with booking even my room was booked and payed in advance. I asked them to at least call me a taxi and they asked me for number even they know that I'm from different country. All that happened in 11:30pm. I traveling a lot and this was my worst experience with hotel staff for sure. Even a owner screamed on us over the phone and was very rooth. Avoid this place if you can.
