Fantastic view and great hospitality

The hotel has a great view over the lake. Breakfast was nice as was the food in the restaurant, it was good but not amazing as a lot of the other posts have suggested. Location is ok, as mentioned it has a great view. Downside is the 30 minute walk from town and the fact that it is on a very busy road. There aren’t many walking trails and the hotel didn’t have any information on local walks, local tours and the like.

Winter time; the room was rather cold.

Excellent restaurant. Very professional and friendly staff. Next to the statue :-) There is a terrace overlooking the lake. It is open to the customers, so even if you do not have a room with a balcony you can spend some time enjoying the view over the lake.

Hard to control temperature in room, got too warm for us. Needed some counter space in the bathroom. Awful little shower unit.

Incredible view over Lake Maggiore from our room - the entire back walk is glass with a door onto a nice balcony with a cafe table and chairs. Same gorgeous view from dining room where you have breakfast (very good) and dinner if you choose to do so. In nice weather there are 2 levels of outdoor balconies on the lake.

Leaky shower door. A bit out of the way - as a positive that meant it was very peaceful, but a bit lifeless. No local walks so have to take the car out to go exploring

Clean, nicely refurbished villa. Good size rooms. Easy parking. Beautiful views. Ate in restaurant on first night and it was excellent.

The food and drink menus are limited. No sandwich options for lunch. Lunch and dinner menus are the same.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel was small and peaceful with stunning views. A short drive into Arona, well worth a visit for the waterfront walk, bars and restaurants.

Amazing restaurant with a perfect view! Small breakfast but everything you need. Stuff was extremely friendly and we felt really welcomed! Would come back definitely.

Our car was blocked by 3 other cars from restaurant visitors, it was very annoying. We were planning to drive to another restaurant but had no choice but to eat at the restaurant in the hotel. We tried to get to another restaurant by foot, but there was no sidewalk which we could use, and we felt it was not safe to go on the car road at night where everyone is driving pretty fast. The waiting in the restaurant was long, and the prices are on the high side (27 EUR for a rather small piece of fish). One of the dishes we took we liked (iberian ham), the other (fish) - we didn't find tasty. We had to wait each time we were interacting with the people at this hotel: at check in, waiting for waiter to take an order for a dinner, getting coffee for breakfast, at check out. The road by the hotel is pretty busy and we couldn't sleep with an open window due to the noise.

Nice warm room, pleasant and cozy. The breakfast was tasty, fresh and high quality food. Great view. Comfortable bed, window in the bathroom.

The property is not reachable by foot, there is no sidewalk leading to it.

The staff was professional, the food was excellent and the view of the lake is breathtaking. Just cca.20 m from the hotel is the Colosso di San Carlo di Borromeo and Chiesa di San Franco with a small historical exhibition.

Very weak WI-FI, need a car to get to the hotel

Fantastic view and location, calm, good Restaurant with a very nice terrace, I had a small room on the mountain side, was OK for one night. I guess the valley side rooms are very nice.

The lady at reception was a little short with us initially but the other staff were fantastic. Quite tricky to find, our Google Maps sent us the wrong way.

Amazing view from balcony, one of the best I’ve ever seen. Even if you don’t have a room with a view there is a shared deck with this view. You can buy a bottle of wine and snacks and take it all in.

There was nothing to dislike.

The staff and their service were exceptional. The room was excellent, with a large terrace overlooking the lake. The bed now as very comfortable and the breakfast was good. We felt well looked after. The parking is private and your car is secure. Nothing was too much trouble.
