Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNo washcloths were provided and we had to ask for more toilet paper.
I hadn't expected daily cleaning and while that's a nice service, it made us feel a little rushed to get out of the room so it could be cleaned. Staff was accommodating though and waited patiently. It was a 23 minute walk to the metro and lots of restaurants and shopping, so for the price, a good location.

TurkeyI loved how calm and quite it is. The things i would like them better are; rooms are not bright, even you open the curtains, still dark a bit. Also, my room's air conditioner wasnt working very well, so my room was not hot as i expected :( But still they put a little heater so this fixed my problem partly. There was no breakfast, only some biscuits and jams in rooms and also capsule coffees so you can prepare yourself coffee on common area. Also, facility is far from metro line, Otttaviano. You need to walk around 20-25 mins if you cant catch the bus 32, which its almost impossible to catch hehe. But still, if you catch other busses when you return to your room, your hotel is just across the road, that's a very good detail :) I wouldnt stay there again only because of the distance between metro line, otherwise it was a good experience :) And one last thing i was really impressed, the paintings in my room! It definitely gives the vibe that you are in Rome haha ^.^ Thank you guys!

The best thing that it was perfectly clean. Perfectly. Loved the spacious bedroom, comfortable bed, cute design. The room is smaller than in the picture, but very cosy and you have absolutely everything you need

GermanyI felt that, given the place was relatively basic, it was kind of expensive. But, I did wait until two weeks before to book and I don't know generally how much places cost in Rome, so maybe that's just how much it costs to be in walking distance of the centre?
The place was clean and comfortable and check-in was very easy. I also liked the location - although it's not patricularly well connected on the public transport (specifically compared to where I live in Berlin) given there's only one bus that goes there from closest metro station and it goes about twice an hour, I love walking and it was about 30 minutes walk to the touristy places. There are also some excellent less touristy restaurants and cafes about 20 minutes walk away

United KingdomIn general, everything was very good, the only minus is that there was no breakfast included, only bread+spreads.
The property was decorated with taste, it is located in one of the quite neighbourhoods close to Vatican. There is a coffee machine at the common kitchen area, not individual ones in rooms. The air conditioning was quite powerful, it was comfortable at extreme heat outside.

Czech RepublicThe door didn't seem to isolate hallway noises very well, so we could hear door slamming or people talking outside which was a bit distracting when we tried to relax during the day. Also the internet didn't work for our entire stay, apparently there was an outage affecting the entire neighborhood, but it wasn't an issue for us because we had our mobile data.
The room was very clean and it was clear there was attention to detail. There was room service every day. Breakfast was simple (pies and pastries, toast bread, ham and cheese, yogurt), but it was nice to have it available and be able to hit the town without having to search for breakfast. And the coffee was very good. Staff was nice, helpful, and gave clear instructions. Even though, it's a bit farther from the main tourist attractions, there is a bus stop right outside, which made getting everywhere very easy. Overall it was a great experience, good value, and I wouldn't hesitate booking again.

Guesthouse is on nice location, not to far from main attractions, good connections by bus or metro. Stuff was helpfull and polite. It's not exclusive and you can't expect some luxury, but it's a solid value for the many we paid.

Breakfast was plentiful continental and provided the requested GF option. Roberto gave clear instructions for check in, kept in touch, was very helpful. Location was 20 mins walk from Vatican on bus routes and 15 mins from metro. Relatively quiet location but near shops, restaurants etc. We liked the fact that it wasn't right in the centre of Rome and we walked everywhere. It was also lovely to be in a small 6 room guest house which was quiet, well appointed and the facilities were immaculately clean but unfussy - just what we wanted. Oh and great shower!

LithuaniaNothing in particular was bothering.
I really enjoyed my stay at Roma in Una Stanza. The check-in was extremely easy (only had a slight problem with the room's door but learnt how to open it quite quickly as one had to push it slightly). The location was superb - close enough to main attractions while far enough from the loudest action. Even though I had window facing the outer street, it was not that busy during the night, so for a light sleeper like me it was great. The staff was very warm and compared to other places in Italy I stayed, breakfast was good enough to start the day! All in all, I would stay there again!

United StatesEverything! You are not getting a full apt. (which was my understanding) You are entering a hallway containing about 6 different rooms. (I believe there were 3 or 4 on each side) So our group was separated. The rooms were not comfortable very, very small. The bathroom in one of the rooms had an issue that was never resolved in the 2 nights we were there. Annoying & uncomfortable.
NOTHING! Didn't even like the location!
