Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CroatiaCheck in is a bit confusing.
Beds were comfortable, room and bathroom were clean and neat. Location is great, near Termini and in walking distance to city centre. Easy check out.

United KingdomNothing worth mentioning
The location is perfect. It’s a simple place to stay right near the train station. Most places in the city are so expensive but I found this and it was absolutely fine.

United StatesThe person I interacted with was very responsive. He quickly replied to my messages and he kept my bag in a secure location before I checked into my room and while I explored the city. I had just a little trouble finding the hotel because it is on the third floor of a building with two other hotels. There is a small sign about waist height by the door. The supermarket mentioned in the booking is not the one next door but down and across the street. These are not negatives just good things to know
From the pictures I was worried that the bed was just a mattress on a frame. It is but the mattress is very high quality. I was impressed that the room had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I was only there one night but the location close to the train station worked out great for me. Since the last time I have visited Rome this area has a lot more restaurants. It’s perfect if you are looking for a good value.

GeorgiaThough everywhere in the hotel, there were notifications and kind requests not to be too loud, it was still quite loud during the night, and it was hard to sleep. It's not the hotel's fault; they are trying to fix it. The building itself isn't very soundproof. It's the Termini neighborhood, which is not my favourite.
The room was very clean and quite big. The hotel is close to the Termini station (a 5-minute walk) and easy to find. It has an elevator so you don't need to walk on the 3rd floor.

KazakhstanThere was either no hot water or it was so little that it was impossible to take a shower. It would also be nice to bring back the blackout curtains. It is clear that they were there, but now they are not there. Booking.com says three stars, but the hotel signs have one. Information needs to be updated.

ItalyNoise level was high since from early morning, the wall's isolation is not good enough.
We stepped in Roma for one night, the hotel is a perfect place for rest and sleep after a busy day at the Italian capital city. The hotel is in a excellent location, lots of bars, restaurants and mini market around. The room was clean and good for a group of friends or for a short stand in Roma. Just 5 min from Termini central train station.

SerbiaFirst we didn’t find reception in the building, but we find out that you need to find someone in supermarket across the street, which is strange to us. But it’s was okay at the end. Also, whole building (not just Roma Palace) have thin walls, so you can hear noise if someone is speaking lound.
Location is really good, 2 minutes walk from the Termini station. Wi fi was fast and good. Property is clean.

JapanI ordered 3 single beds for 3 persons through booking.com when I reserved the room, but it was 1 double and 1 single. Towels were not prepared for 3 sets after room cleaning and used ones collected. The shower water was overflowed from the pipe. Maybe clogged up.
The room has renovated and cleaned. Staff has done our requirements after I send messages. Internet TV and wifi can be used.

CanadaThe room was clean but did smell very strongly of cleaning product so we had to air out the room when we got there. The beds were comfortable and we were surprised there was an elevator in the building so that helped with the luggage. The wifi is very weak and we were not able to use it during our stay. The shower also pooled and didn't drain properly.

SlovakiaCons: Keys to rooms are suitable for all rooms (keep your valuables with you, or in safelock) Walls are thin, you can hear flushing toilets, noise from other rooms (I recommend to bring earplugs with you) There is no reception available, when you will come - go to supermarket on the opposite side of street to grab a keys (or call)
Pros: close to Termini (5 min walk) wifi free TV Private bathroom Keys from object (24/7 come and leave by yourself) Air condition fridge safelock Close supermarkets to buy essentials, pharmacy, restaurants Late check in, early check out (by agreement in advance) clean towels, bed sheets
