Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BulgariaEverything was perfect!
The kindest hosts welcome you to this home. The breakfast, served fresh and warm every morning, is more than amazing. The hosts give valuable advice on good restaurants in the area, how to get around Rome. The room and bathroom are cleaned daily. We are extremely grateful for their attention and attitude towards us. We highly recommend their home if you want to visit the heart of Italy - Rome!

United KingdomThere was a very impressive record collection in the breakfast room that they are teasing us with when they could be being played as a part of breakfast.
Absurdly good service. I'm a Londoner who turned up overworked, under the weather and probably (definitely) somewhat prickly. Valentina's hospitality is true; authentic. "You had and early ticket this morning, so didn't have breakfast. Do have breakfast tomorrow. It pleases me." Antonio very generously talked through a perceived internet access issue. It was the red wine consumed by the guest rather than the router that was the rub, it transpired The place is spotless. On my table-for-one breakfast I was presented with: 1) a very large sweet pastry (doughnut or something akin) 2) a whole loaf of sliced bread...available to me at my table 3) assorted jams and spreads 4) a selection of cured meats and cheese (I put mine in a couple of slices of bread and toasted it in the panini toaster) 5) 2 types of cereal 6) OJ 7) coffee of my choice 8) and "would I like eggs?"....no Valentina, but good lord thank you for asking! 9) oh and breakfast dried bread-like-toase not known us people from the northern isles Oh and the location is about 10 mins walk from the Vatican. There are loads of Bars and restaurants on the main street. Unexpectedly good shower in your own bathroom.

NetherlandsBest place I ever stayed, the welcoming was great. The owners are really friendly and gave me so many good tips. You should definitely try tiramisu at Two sizes, even if you think you don’t like tiramisu. On my stay I felt like I’m at home. Super nice. Short walk till Vatican. As I had early flight, Valentine booked taxi for me and packed breakfast - super tasty. Definitely recommended.

United KingdomFantastic hosts that have made their home into a welcoming space. They went out of their way to explain how to get around and some great areas to visit for food and culture. Even though this place is out of the city centre once you realise it is only a short bus ride in to where everything is that you want to go and see, then everything was fine. We would like to thank our hosts and wish them all the best for the future 🙏

United KingdomSometimes construction works close the room’s window might be disturbing in the morning. For it was OK since I tried getting up early.
Cozy, clean and comfortable stay. Hosts are great, Antonio was ready to help with everything and give any advice almost 24/7, amazing people. Good location, just 5-10 mins from Vatican City by busses (several routes are available).

Czech RepublicFrom the moment we arrived at Rose Antiche Vatican B&B, Antonio and Valentina extended a warm welcome that set the tone for a truly exceptional stay. The room was impeccably clean and exuded a charming flair. The location was superb, offering easy access to the city’s historical treasures. What truly stood out was the delightful breakfast experience. It felt like stepping into an Italian family’s kitchen, with every dish prepared with love and authenticity. Antonio and Valentina’s hospitality, combined with the cozy room and prime location, made this stay an unforgettable one. I had an amazing experience at Rose Antiche Vatican B&B, located very close to Saint Peter's Basilica, just a short walk away. It's also conveniently connected to Rome city center by bus. The couple was incredibly friendly and always there to help; it truly felt like a home away from home. And, of course, the breakfast was amazing every day ! I am definitely planning to return.

United StatesValentina and her partner are amazing hosts. They welcomed my sister and I as if it had been our own home. We were traveling for my sisters birthday and they even gave her a cupcake with a candle, they are so sweet and kind. We are definitely returning. They gave recommendations on must see places and places that are not common but totally worth your time along with a map and bus routes. We stayed in many hotels around Italy and this is by far our favorite.

PolandThere is nothing that I really didn't like there. Rome is an amazing city and I really hope to come back soon. The only disadvantage I can think of is the weather in august, that is painfully hot.
We stayed 9 days there and it was just perfect. Owners made sure that every detail was taken care of to make the stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. They were also very helpful giving us information on how to go to the city, best places to find finest Italian food and answering all of our questions. Rooms are very comfortable, the double mattress is huge and there is a big TV in the bedroom, besides from air conditioning device. Breakfast is absolutely great. We had great vacations there.

CanadaI can’t say enough positive things about our time at the B&B. We came in early to drop off our bags and Antonio took time to give us plenty of information to get us started. We got details on local buses, the best bus stops, where to buy the bus passes, where to pick up good tiramisu, where to get the best Suppli in town, where to pick up a plug converter and so much more. We fell in love with B&B living and our hosts were more than we could have asked for. Valentina and Antonio go out of their way for every person that walks in the door. I would recommend this place if you like your accommodations to feel like home. We have already recommended their home to many people and we haven’t even left Rome. The location is a quick bus ride to the Vatican, Colosseum or Trevi Fountain. You can walk to them all as well but it was to hot for us to do that.

Czech RepublicIf I could write all the things I loved about this accommodation I would be there till tomorrow because EVERYTHING was so great!! The breakfast- DELICIOUS, the rooms- so clean, the location- amazing…but I need to say the best “thing” about this whole stay was honestly the staff. They were so helpful, kind and just straight out brilliant. If you’re planning to stay in Rome, THIS ONE IS DEFINITELY FOR YOU, Vale<33
