How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Staff didn’t seem very well informed on activities and facilities around their B&B.

The appartment was small and also the place to sit outside was very small (~3m2) and almost fully closed so very warm and humid. Breakfast: Lots of waste is created during breakfast, you get plastic fork and knives and cardboard plates and cups. Everythng ends in same waste bag. Easy to clean up but not good for the environment. Location: is far away of nice Italian towns with beautiful small streets and restaurants. At least 35min drive to Nardo which is nearest nice place. If you are looking for this then go to the east cost, saves you a lot of driving over dark local roads in the evening.
Nice, modern and good maintained complex with nice swimming pool. Room was clean and having a good bathroom. Every day clean towels if you want. Beds were also good and made up every day. Breakfast was ok, lots of cake (Italian style) but also cheese, meat, scrambled eggs and bacon- for those that do not want cake only for breaffast. Good place to stay when you want to have a beach vacation, close to the best beaches of Puglia.

There were ants in the room. The staff was rude and not very helpful. The manager told us there was a market 600 meters from the b&b, only to walk there and find out it was closed for the season as were all the restaurants in the near vicinity. If you wanted to eat or go to the beach you needed to drive. Nothing was within walking distance. Also we were not given the wrist bands that would have given us discounts at the beach, we had to ask for them.
I was originally given a room with one double bed, but because I was with a friend I was able to get a room with more than the one bed. The breakfast was good, there was a lot of variety. The saltwater pool was very nice.

Shower too tight, A/C was not able to be controlled by a remote. Complained to the staff and was told that I needed to move the fridge and press a switch in the back of the fridge. So I had to do this every time it got hot or cold, in the middle of the night too.
Nice layout, good breakfast.

4 DAYS WITH NO COFFEE. The machine was broken, and they made you pay for your coffee in a dispenser machine. The pool had too much chloride The wifi was terrible. They forgot to add new toiletries even after 2 days.
Breakfast options were kind of okay.

Breakfast served on lots of plastics, cant imagine their plastic waste. Rooms and bathroom are dark and beds are not comfortable. They require renovation. Can't go to beach by walking (road is pretty dangerous)

Breakfast was frustrating, not much to eat and coffee was not really drinkable.
We had a mixed feeling about the palce. The terrotiry of the hotel is very beautiful and clean, very quiet and cosy. Staff is very helpful and special thanks to Simone who helped and is very nice and friendly. For that we have raised the review rate. We have booked the triple room for 2 nights and first one was just horrible - we got an old room without a window so no fresh air at all, the furniture was old and smelled accordingly as well as for some reason the room was very perfumed and it was impossible to sleep during the night. We also got very cold but didnt find any blanket. Net on the only one window in the bathroom had wholes so no air there either. We have asked to change the room but since it was night from Saturday to Sunday there were none availble. But thanks God Simone was very kind to change the room on the next day and we moved into a very nice spacious room with the window, clean and fresh one where we had a very nice sleep in the night. Would be useful to have at least 2 glasses in the room. If we would have moved into this room right away, I would give 8,8 to Samana B&B but I have to lower the rate because of the first night experience.
