This was a great location in a quiet area, which offered a restful stay away from the hustle and bustle of Rome. The staff was incredibly helpful with anything that we needed and were happy to offer suggestions and information as well. Breakfast was wonderful and served in a lovely dining area or outside in a beautiful garden. This hotel was the best part of our trip to Rome!

Everything was superb. The hotel staff were all so helpful and went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. It was my daughter's 40th birthday. To her surprise, she was presented with a present - a gift of Prosecco and nibbles! The hotel location was quiet. Everything was so stylish. As for the breakfast!! Amazingly good. The reception staff were so helpful and patient in giving us advice and directions.

Everything. What a wonderful place. The staff did everything to ensure we were happy. The location was quiet yet close to everything. Within walking distance to hop on hop off stop, colloseum and other attractions. This hotel has a sister hotel around the corner with the best restaurant. The staff arranged for rides to and from the Airport and cruise terminal. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will stay again next visit to Rome.

The staff are fantastic. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them. The room I had was stunning. It was quiet, comfortable and the design/decoration was fantastic. It felt like staying in a palace.

I told the venue in advance that I am vegan, and they made sure to provide for me at breakfast. No problem at all. The staff were all warm, gracious, friendly and helpful, and the whole place feels relaxed and welcoming. Every query was received with courtesy and professionalism, and a warm and genuine smile. I also loved the design of the hotel and the accent on comfort and an air of luxury. I wanted to take the shower home with me!!!

Superb location close enough to walk to sights like the Colosseum, but quiet and away from the crowds. We had the Golden Deluxe room which was beautifully decorated and had the benefit of a balcony overlooking the city. Staff were friendly, pleasant and extremely helpful. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. The outside seating area was lovely for a late afternoon or evening drink. Highly recommend.

This was the only option available in the area at time of booking. I don't like the Roman style decoration but that's just personal. If you like this type of decoration then this place is fine.

The shower has a timer on it which meant the water cut off. There are no English channels or streaming services on the TV.

Breakfast was fantastic: many food items to choose from and everything was freshly served daily/delicious food! The staff was always very attentive and friendly. We had breakfast in the beautifully appointed garden area/which included orange trees, loaded with orange fruit. The front desk staff greeted us cheerfully every day and helped us with questions we had about touring Rome. They responded promptly to our requests for taxi service. We will not hesitate to stay at this beautiful hotel on our next trip to Rome. We liked the location/ very quiet residential area.

It would have been good if they'd a restaurant for evening meals in the San Anselmo.

We loved the fact that, despite the hotel being in a quiet neighbourhood, we were able to walk to all the major sights/sites. The Circus Maximus and Colosseum are minutes away and the furthest we walked was to the Spanish Steps which took about an hour. The metro, buses and trams are about 10 minutes walk away if you need them. It was great to come back to this oasis of calm after the bustle of central Rome. There's a small lounge with a bar and also a tiny garden to relax in. The staff were all polite, helpful and efficient and we were happy with the breakfast although we heard some guests bemoaning the lack of a cooked option. There is no restaurant for evening meals at this hotel and, on one evening, we ate at its sister hotel round the corner - we'd rate the food there as average. We mainly ate at several small restaurants near the Pyramid and all were good, but beware the waiters' recommendations in some of them - check the price of their offer before ordering! All in all, we found the San Anselmo to be an excellent base for our Rome visit.
