Great location, easy to find. Bus station just around the corner and train station walkable. Understated from the outside but grand old style inside. Very large bedroom. Lovely breakfast choice.

Great hotel! Clean, spacious, amazing breakfast spread, fantastic location, and friendly staff! A five star hotel experience at an extremely affordable price! Of all the hotels we stayed at in Italy (we traveled all around for 17 days) this was the best place we stayed, and it was the cheapest!

The one night our air conditioning didn’t work.

Loved the location! Very friendly, helpful staff. Our hvac was on the blink the 1st night but was quickly remedied the next day. Bathroom was spacious. Breakfast was very good. Our favorite outing was to the winery Tenuta Adamo….a fabulous experience for those staying in or close to Lucca. Don’t miss it!

The mattress on the bed is quite soft (need to change). Apart from that all is OK.

The breakfast provided was really exceptionally good, very satisfy. The location was excellent as we can walk to see the town within the wall. Even able to walk up on the wall too. The staffs were really helpful.

Staff yelling in the kitchen /complaining or commenting about the guests made me feel uncomfortable Quite cold at night.

Location, decor, reception was very attentive and helpful, cleaning staff excellent and replaced a dirty blanket for me with a clean one. Excellent breakfast options with a la carte extras.

If you're staying in Lucca and exploring Tuscany, this is an ideal property. Located within the wall of the historic city, you can walk to all that Lucca has to offer. We were also able to park our car adjacent to the property and it was easily accessible for us to come and go as we visited other towns in the area. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and lent us an umbrella on a very rainy day. Our room was HUGE and decorated in the beautiful style of a grand old hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

The room, while nice and big was quite dated, especially the bathroom. Old plastic flowers were really not good and some of the furniture could be replaced. They could do with zipping the twin beds together when making a double otherwise you fall through the middle, especially as the sheets weren't big enough to tuck in properly! The real shame was the shower (cheap riser over the bath) was barely warm which isn't good (my shower was not even pleasant) but when we were told "the hotel's full" as an excuse this isn't acceptable in a four star hotel. That was the only gripe, otherwise it's really nice.

A very cosy hotel with a great welcome, very nice bar (and barlady) and absolutely brilliantly located bang in the centre of the old town of Lucca. Good parking. Good breakfast - the fruit was delicious which often isn't the case. The room was silent, dark and warm.

This was not a problem for us but be aware that the parking is a little tricky. There is a shared entrance to hotel parking and police station parking at Piazzale Giuseppe Verdi, 1. Naturally, you'll want to use the hotel parking straight in and to the left. You'll need to leave your car key with reception in case the car needs to be moved during your stay. We were happy to park once and not use the car again until we departed.

The staff is very professional and friendly. The hotel is well-located just inside the city walls. The breakfast was of high quality. The room we had was large and comfortable.
