How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Great location, seven minutes to Old Como. The owners were very welcoming especially silly as we arrived early, easy check in. Recommended lovely local fish restaurant and things to do. Lovely and clean. One night wasn’t long enough.

nothing bad really.
Amazing place, comfortable beds, everything cleaned and wonderful. Really...I was so positive surprised! The host is just an amazing person and made everything he could to make our stay better: called himself to restaurants and reserved a boat for us. Breakfast is delicious with local pastries served direct on your table. This is now my favorite place to stay in Como and we will go back for sure! thank you for everything Stéphane.

Stèphane and his wife was excellent hosts! Perfect sense of style and very warm and nice welcoming. Breakfast was great and delicious. Bed and linen was very comfortable and very clean property. Love it!

Everything was EXCELLENT! Top 3 of the best B&Bs we have stayed in all my trips! It was our first time in the northern part of Italy, and we couldn't have started our trip better. This place is all we look for when we pick accommodation during our trips: - The PROPERTY was beautifully designed, and we felt great since we first stepped foot in it. The bed was wonderful, and the bathroom was modern and very, very clean. - The HOST was kind, caring and warm personality as well as Michela. The breakfast was amazing! (Thank you, Stephane, for the local pastries, cheeses, and more... great food!) and his recommendation for local food was outstanding. - The LOCATION was a good, short walk to everything! We love the neighborhood and felt very safe. We did not want to leave, and we will surely come back!

Stéphan's B&B is really outstanding. The house is beautifully decorated and very clean. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast was perfect! All was made with fresh and local food. Stéphan is very attentive and he wants his guests to feel home. We'll come back again! Grazie per tutto, Tangia e Songia ;-)

I can’t think of anything that I would improve.
This is by far the most exceptional bead and breakfast that we have ever stayed in. The location is great, the host Stefane was exceptionally friendly and offered us breakfast in the room even though we left there on the 1st of Jan real early. The room was exceptionally clean and very modern. We liked all of it from the start to the end. It was a most enjoyable and relaxing stay for us.

Stéphane and Michelle were really excellent hosts and have done a fantastic job in renovating a property that has been around since the 1900s. The house is beautiful and they are so welcoming and accommodating. Stéphane gave me plenty of recommendations as I'd never been to Como before and had only a day and a half there so wanted to fit as much in as possible. I would definitely return to stay again and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was only a 20 minute walk to the town and really easy to get around the city.

There was nothing to dislike! Seriously, this place is outstanding.
+ Clean - beautifully clean, with cleaning service daily + Comfortable - everything worked flawlessly in the room, and it was spacious and attractive + Central - short, easy walk to the old town, which felt safe at night + Host - friendly, warm, and helpful; the best of a B&B dynamic where the host is personally there for you + Breakfast - personally prepared for you with hot and cold options, great coffee

Wonderful stay that felt like home. We really liked how quiet and peaceful the place is, perfect for having relaxing time yet at a walking distance from the lake and city center. We really appreciated how helpful and understanding was the owner, he helped us organising the trip while there was a railway strike. Definitely coming back!

Beautiful home where we were well taken care of! Breakfast was lovely, great shower & comfortable beds. 20 minute walk to old town. Take the train to the Borgi stop and your 5 minutes from the house.

We had a lovely stay here. The breakfast was amazing! Delicious freshly baked pastries, homemade granola and locally made delicacies. The host was so warm and welcoming. Our room was very comfortable and clean.
