How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

First receptionist doesn't speak English at all, neither on their phone number, even though they state it in the description! There wasn't a fridge, even though mentioned in the room description (but maybe they would bring one if asked). The breakfast was a bit poor, and there was no vegan nutritious food (e.g. legumes, tofu, tempeh, nuts) - but it may have been because I came 20 minutes before closing time. They asked and brought me a cappuccino, but the milk was overheated and spilled all over the saucer. Lastly, the location is quite inconvenient, about 2.5km from the centre!
Price, room (enough storage places, remote control heating/air conditioning, space, balcony with view, window blinds), friendly staff, stable water temperature. When I asked, they brought me what food I was missing at breakfast (cheese and bread).

The style is a bit outdated but everything functioned well.
The room is big and full of beds. Good bathroom, good service. Room had a balcony. As it was raining, I did not use it much. Beautiful view on the ocean, even though it is quite far away from the ocean itself.

Although the staff was very friendly and communication did work out, it would be great if they'd speak a little more English.
Breakfast buffet was rich. Very good value for money is the dinner (to be booked in the morning) in the hotel. Friendly staff. Swimming pool with great view over the valley. The place is very quiet (a little away from the city, but that brings the silence...)

It was pretty noisy, though normal hotel noise. The room was a bit smelly as it had probably been close for too long. The room is clean although the room and the balcony look a bit tired and would benefit from a bit of renewal.
Staff really helpful, breakfast included and the area is pretty quiet, as there are not many buildings around. The view is stunning as it's possible to see Golfo di Manfredonia and the nearby cities

The breakfast was a bit limited. Only a few items to choose from, no cheese and have to ask for anything not on the table. Hardly enough food. It was the same items for every day that we stayed there , 3 days. Our room had a double bed and two extra single beds.... don't know why because we booked a double room. There wasn't enough space for the furniture and it felt crammed. No bathroom mat. Otherwise it was ok.

No soundproofing. There was a big party downstairs which had club and dance music as well as a guy on a loudspeaker screaming until well after 1am. Was very loud in the room all night. Hardly got any sleep. Breakfast was scarce and lacking much of anything.
Wi-Fi was fast. Room had necessary things such as mini fridge, desk, private bathroom, and good amount of wall plugs. Nice balcony with view. For €35 euros it’s hard to expect much past that.

room next door was very noisy - I had to bang on the wall to get them to stop making very loud noise. Also, the front desk attendants aren't always at the front desk - once I gave up waiting and a second time I had to call the hotel main number repeatedly to find someone to talk to.

No AC, but I knew that. The price is properly adjusted and fair.
Nice place on the mountain with an amazing view. Breakfast was great. EASY free parking. Very nice pool as well. I enjoyed my stay.

Two large groups staying, which left staff a bit understaffed. Food ok. The room fine except the walls two thin and you can here each neighbour. When leaving the reception unmanned and while ringing bell it took over 10 minutes to get served.

The pool was closed but the view was beautiful and the town serene.
The hotel is within walking distance to the Sacred Saint Michael cave. It’s a holy place and the peace and beauty are true blessings needed in this world. This is a place of pilgrimage that should be shared.
