Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomThe apartment was superficially cleaned with a lot of dust, dirty doors and kitchen furniture . I am not really fussy as I use the accommodations only to sleep. However, I didn’t appreciate the notes left around by the property owner to clean my kitchen otherwise I will be fined with €50 and also to REMOVE THE RUBISH before I leave as I will be fined as well. Sorry, but this is not anymore hospitality experience after I paid more then £300

United KingdomThere were a few minor things missing from the kitchen (e.g. sharp knife, bread knife, bread board) but the hotel are aware and said they would rectifiy this.
Key collection from the Hotel receoption was easy. There is the added benefit of being able to leave your luggage with the hotel for the last day when you drop your keys back. The apartment bedrooms are enormous... but the shared living space is limited to chairs in the main bedroom or the kitchen area. (there is no 'living room' to speak of) However, dont let this put you off... the location (opposite the famous Aqua Alta Bookshop), quality and comfort of the apartment make up for this.

SloveniaThe kitchen could use a sharp knife if you plan to cook and a cheese grater. One needs to put some parmiggiano on top of pasta 😊 But this is really nothing compared to the value of the place.
First of all the apartment has vintage decor and creates really special experiences for anyone. It is spacious, properly heated (smth rare these days) with sufficient consumables like soap, toilet paper and dishwasher tablets. Staff from the same named hotel is managing the place and is super helpful, friendly and responsive.

We travelled as a family through Europe over Christmas and this was our favourite stay by far. The apartment is HUGE and it was great four our family to be able to spread out a little. The bonus private courtyard was so pretty, as was the fact it was on the ground floor. We loved our time in Venice, and it was made even better by our stay in this apartment.

VenezuelaThe location was good just not very convenient if you travel with a big suitcase as we did since there are a couples of bridges along the way. Also, the apartment is on the second floor and there is no elevator.
The apartment was beautiful, huge, comfortable, and clean. The location was fantastic, close to all the major sights and had many shops and restaurants nearby. The reception staff was friendly, gave us directions for good places to eat and shop. They also allowed us to leave our suitcases while it was time to check-in.

ItalyS&J apartment is not for you if you choose to follow one or all of the cheap hotels solutions which lay out spanning most of the sestiere (or districts) of Venice. In the sestiere of Castello and, namely in the S&J aparrment, just in front of libreria "acqua alta", you are in for a rare treat, comfortable and privacy-inclusive cozy heaven. this is definitely not a place shared by those searching for a one day stop closeby the train station or other popular districts for turists aiming to a quick run through the city's must-sees; but rather it is a highly personal, insightful look at one of the world's most stunningly beautiful cities where it seems like a Venice-dweller owns the place and whispers in your ear beautiful words as you wander the city starting from one of the best sestiere of Venice.

Irelandthat they charge you 50 euros if you don't throw away the garbage or clean the kitchen. Clearly I cleans what I occupied and a bit of the counters, but it does not say cleaning parameters so I didn’t known if it is necessary to sweep, clean the refrigerator or wash the dish cloth. The garbage is thrown away from 6:30 to 8:30 am, so we found ourselves with suitcases and bags of garbage walking 5 minutes to find a garbage can. And I’m still don’t know if they going to charge me for not cleaning the way they want.

Staff were very friendly and helpful in relation to where to go and best times to avoid queues etc. Marked maps for us to show exactly where to go and which water buses to take. We stayed in 2 locations owned by Savoia e Jolanda, both were spotlessly clean, bedrooms were huge and we couldnt have asked for better locations - water buses and taxis right in front of hotel, lots of restaurants and cafes around hotel and St Marks Square and Doge's Palace literally beside it

United KingdomNo sitting room/family get together room. This wouldn't have been a problem had the kitchen area been bigger. There was only a very small kitchen area with a very strange, rather dirty and sticky white table which we weren't comfortable using, even to play cards on. Not enough toilet paper. Mosquitos already in one bedroom on the ceiling on our first night. If we'd been made aware, we could have done something ourselves to avoid the multiple bites we suffered from over the week. Please be honest about this with your guests| We would much rather know there might be a problem with mosquitos in the apartment than be left ignorant and seriously uncomfortably itchy.
Lovely Venetian apartment with two luxurious bedrooms and one twin fairly basic twin room. One one suite bathroom and one family bathroom was very useful. Very good provision of towels and nice bed linen.
