The drive up can be slightly intimidating for inexperienced drivers, especially at night. We were also given good directions to help with this.

The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. The views are breathtaking and the pool was a welcome treat! The rooms are spacious, modern and well fitted. We really enjoyed the full and varied breakfast in the front garden. If we ever come back to Taormina, this is where we'll be staying!

The staff were amazing, very friendly and tended to all our needs. The setting is absolutely stunning in every way, the room was cleaned everyday and breakfast was fantastic (especially the pear cake!). The location is out of the way which you can see from the pictures (it’s in the mountains) and we should have hired a car to save money instead of using taxis but I think the views and overall experience at sciccosa was definitely worth it. We will be returning as soon as we can.

Hard to get to without a car, and a bit of a mission to get to but the view is worth it. Staff was professional but didn’t feel as homely as other places. Bring food and drink as nothing close by and Hotel doesn’t offer dinner.

Staff were brilliant, very welcoming and helpful. Rooms were clean, food was good. Location would need a car or reliant on taxis, saying that the owner did assist with guests getting to the train station. We had a sea view and comfortable room. Great pool and sundeck, great to relax and get away from the crazy cramped beach.

It helps to have your own car. You don’t want to be dependent on taxis as to price and time. You need to reserve a rental car in advance of your stay.

The staff was warm and hospitable. They went above and beyond to enhance our stay. The breakfast was delicious. They also offer a small but good menu for lunch or a light dinner. The view was stunning. A very pretty pool. The owner also operates a restaurant that overlooks Isola Bella beach. The food there was incredible - super delicious! We plan to return next year!

Cant say I didnt like anything. Getting to the location is interesting as it is on a windy road high up in hills, so car is necessary. Feels like you are in middleof nowhere, about 3km from town. You aren't disappointed though once you get there.

Absolutely stunning spot overlooking Taormina and the Messina Strait. Swimming pool was lovely and with a small number of guests at any one time, quiet. Breakfast was beatiful and staff so helpful and friendly. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and thankfully cool.

A beautiful quiet location, it was very comfortable and a great place to come back to after a busy day. Staff were amazing and the breakfast always included a speciality cake. I recommend getting an ocean view room,it was just beautiful sitting on the balcony watching the view.

The drive

We had a lovely stay at Scicossa. The room was very clean and we had an amazing view overlooking the Mediterranean. It was dreamlike! We spent one afternoon lazing by the pool and sipping wine. Such a wonderful memory. The staff was so friendly and kind. We loved the morning breakfast overlooking the amazing view. The only drawback was the drive to Scicossa. By Italy standards for most Italians familiar with mountain driving it might not seem difficult. My husband who is a very experienced driver had his challenges. Most places though with excellent views in Taormina and throughout all of Italy do require excellent driving skills.

The way till hotel was tortuous and mountainous, that was more complicated during evenings and nights because the road wasn’t lighted.

Check in was easy. We were welcomed by kind staff with wine and snacks that we enjoyed on our balcony. Our room was clean and comfortable. The pool was very nice and we took a quick dip before getting ready for dinner. Only 5 min drive to Taormina Center, but felt private and away from evening while we were there. Breakfast was delicious with a spread of pastries and then we were made fresh scrambled eggs and cappuccino! Definitely recommend, it was a perfect stay for couples!

All was ok, property next to the Guest house needs a bit renovation (what you can see from some of the balconies) but nothing that really ruins your stay.

Amazing view, beautiful pool, good breakfast, clean and newly decorated, definitely recommend. Close ride to Taormina beach or city center.

We really enjoyed our stay here, we had a lovely welcome from staff including a welcome drink. The room was modern and very clean and breakfast was great. Everything has been well thought out and it meant we could relax in full comfort. The view and the pool are amazing! We had hired a car and were pleased we had done, it's definitely the easiest and most convenient way to get around and over to Taormina centre, there is also plenty of parking at the guest house.

The property is so clean , the breakfast is super delicious ! Staff is so nice , friendly and helpful. The room was clean and cleaned daily. Facilities in the room works perfectly. The view is spectacular ! Pool area was clean. The property is very well kept ! We cant wait to visit again :)

Nothing really not to like. If you don't have a car it's about 20 to 25 euros to get to the centre but worth the cost. You can also walk down to the beach. Takes about 30 mins but not a problem for me

Amazing people working there and so hospitable. So quiet compared to the centre and a nice retreat from the tourists. Small number of rooms which makes it perfect. Amazing views. Infinity pool is perfect
