We were disappointed that the pool was under maintenance, and this wasn't communicated to us beforehand.

We recently stayed at Semiramide Palace Hotel overall was pleasant. The location was convenient, and the food was good. The bathrooms were clean, but the non-functioning air conditioning was a drawback. We had a nice experience overall.

You could hear everything through the walls and in the first night we had a group of teenagers screaming till morning. The food at the breakfast doesn't have too many choices and it was the same every day. Quite far from the center and hard to walk there with the stroller. No activity for children.

The staff was kind. In the room we had an extra bed at no cost as we were travelling with our kid. Free parking. Nice view from our window.

Wi-Fi signal was poor on the upper floors, hotel bar wasn’t open as out of season. Some areas of the hotel look a little shabby on the outside, but for the price it was excellent.

Breakfast was very good considering it was included in a very reasonable room price. Location was convenient for exploring to Matera, Alberobello, Polignan a mare, Locotorondo etc. Rooms were really large and very clean. Dinner in the restaurant was very reasonable 30euro for a 4 course Italian set menu, food was excellent.

A bit out of town. It was on walkable distance but not close. The hotel needs renovation. The carpets are very old. The pool misses few tiles. There wasn't any vegetables at breakfast, but there were plenty of pastries, cakes, fruits and other sweets.

Old fashioned hotel. It was clean, beds were comfortable. Reasonable price. Free parking. Polite stuff. Plenty of towels. They bring new ones every day.

Maybe because of end of season, A/C seemed to be disabled and the room got a bit warm in the afternoons. In the night an opened window was just enough to keep nice temperature, but there's no mosquito net installed on the windows, so we ended up with many of bites in the morning (we didn't expect those many at that height, so we didn't use the curtain either). Also the rooms seem to be a bit outdated and lacking some maintenance, considering it's a 4-star hotel, but for the price I don't complain even for a minute.

We've been here off-season, so on one side many services didn't seem like being active, on the other side we got a good value for the money. Room is spacious enough, bed is comfy, staff is nice, breakfast selection is good for a few days stay. The hotel is in the outskirt of Castellana, so it's not really practical to walk anywhere, but on the other side it offers a big parking lot for free. But in this area you'll anyway have a car and can get anywhere easily, so it's still a recommended place, if you get a good offer!

The hotel is in front of some kind of factory- in my opinion not to stay for long stays, but definitely a good stop.

Very good price to quality value. Breakfast was amazing- very tasty and unlimited, also a big selection of food and drinks. Comfortable and spacious rooms.

Rather noisy, other guests made a lot of noise. Didn't think much of the local town, rather drab and dirty, hard to find a good restaurant. Lots of extra facilities offered, few if any actually available.

Location was central to everything we wanted to see, from beaches to Roman antiquities to Albabello, 4 nights at a good price certainly worked! Nice pool, easy parking.

The reception felt frosty due to the attitude, apart from one lady who went out of her way to organise an electric adapter .The room looked lovely, but the aircon was not working- that got fixed at reception- see above. The shower was delivering hot and cold water in short intervals- so in average it was warm 😬The bed only had a bedsheet as blanket While it was warm during the day, that night it got quiet fresh. The large double bed was two beds pushed together, however not very effective.

The small swimmingpool is old, dirty and in poor state of maintenance and to our opinion should be closed. Doesnt look at all at the pictures shown at booking.com. Many of the tiles in the pool are loosened and lay at the bottom. Not a few, but tens to hundred and not only of these day just had been broken off... The water of the pool is dirty and didnt look properly conditioned. Also outdoor shower was dirty and smelly. Between the cracks in the tiles and stuck grass and weeds were growing. Very disappointing when you arrive with kids after a long drive and temperatures over 40 Degrees.

The rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was very nice, wide assortment of pastry, fresh croissants, bread and fresh fruit. Good barrista coffee and fresh fruit. Breakfast was served in nice garden.
