Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe room was exceptionally clean. The treats in the fridge are a lovely bonus. The location is excellent close to the Metro. There are some lovely bakeries too outside and even a very good fast food eatery. From the metro Termini stop there is a bus to take you to the airports for €7. We will definitely stay here again.

ChinaDidn't find iron. If I stay longer I will need iron maybe I need to check with the staff. The check in process is a bit complex at the beginning as you need to fill some info on a website but at the end I directly contacted with the staff.
Good stay at Rome. Everything are good. Very close to Ottaviano station only takes 2 minutes. The room is clean and enough for one person to stay. Every morning the staff would served with nice breads :)

SerbiaMaybe a bigger sign inside a building of the rooms but it's not necessary.
We especially liked the location, the room was bigger than we expected and communication was very easy. The espresso machine and the sweets in the fridge were a very nice touch. Breakfast was also good, we had two options, either to eat in the room or in the bar. The lady who brought the breakfast always asked us if we needed anything. It was a good value for the money.

ChileThe key system was a little confusion at first and if you don’t have internet connection on your phone, you won’t be able to open any doors. Maybe offer an alternative (like the code but for every door) for those who don’t have internet.
The cleaning lady was really nice, and the place is really well located (like 5 min. walking to the Vatican and super near a metro station)

SerbiaClean, cozy whit nice details beautiful room, host very kind. Location can't be better, near by Vatican walls, 5 minutes. Free mini bar, tea, coffee, milk, in one word, beautiful! Breakfast, two sweet croissants each, fresh. In front of the building is metro line A, which leads to the center of Rome. Wifi a little weaker in the room, but excellent in the shared kitchen.

United KingdomThe only thing we weren't fond of was the breakfast (2 pastries each delivered to your room at 8.30am), but that's only because we don't really like sweets for breakfast
The location was amazing, just 2 small blocks from the vatican walls. Plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops local to the property as well. The owners were great at communicating pre & post stay, and you're provided electronic access through an app on your phone, as well as physical keys.

United KingdomThe apartment was in a great location, just outside the building is the Ottaviano metro station (€1,50 for a single) within 10 mins walk of the Vatican City. The apartment was on the top floor so no noise from above and a reasonable amount of sound proofing from the road. Room was comfortable with a mini bar of snacks and drinks refilled everyday. We didn’t have a jacuzzi in our room but we knew this when we booked. Host was lovely and welcoming and very reactive to our queries. Breakfast was left outside our room door between 8:30 and 9, lovely fresh pastries absolutely delicious. We arrived early (before check in) and left late (after check in) so we were also able to store our luggage in the apartment allowing us to continue to look around Rome

CanadaStreet just in front chaotic and not too clean and very busy. Housekeeping was sporadic. Sometimes great, sometimes missing toilet paper, not fill up fridge, the kettle had old tea bag and water sitting in there from previous occupant. Initially room was tricky to get in.
It was in a location easy access to Metro and walk to Vatican. Liked the well stocked fridge with snacks and juice and water. The AC worked well and was quiet. The jacuzzi tub was nice after a long day of walking. The space was well insulated from outside noise. Bed was pretty comfortable.

Super convenient location right next to metro station ottaviano, 6 stops from Termini train station where the airport train stops. Very close to all sightseeing in the historical center. Modern rooms with ample space and our had a little balcony which we loved using in the morning. Pistachio and Nutella filled fresh croissants for breakfast as well as a ton of little treats in the room was awesome! But most important of all the staff were so nice and helpful. Ruby, the manager went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.

PolandOne electrical outlet didn't work but that was not a big issue, as there are plenty. Internet connection could be better, but to be honest - there is so much to do around Rome, that it wasn't so important. I suggest to do, what we did : Go offline, and enjoy awesome bathtub, while staying inside the room. :)
Romantic mood inside the room, bathtub after long hiking around Rome was a big relief for our tired bodies and it really gave us awesome feelings, typical Italian breakfast, lot of tea to choose, snacks and soft drinks inside minibar, coffee maker. Easy check in, easy enter with mobile app. Location was also really good - when You leave the building, entry to the metro station is 5 meters away and it was really close to Vatican City by walk. Good sound isolation, busy street on the other side of the window, but inside it is much quieter. Staff was very friendly! Everyone we met, was super friendly and helpful. Gave us plenty of advices how to move around, where to go, where we should be careful, etc. :) Optional services are BIG PLUS! I really recommend this place. We will definitely come back if we will be in Rome again.

United KingdomLack of storage for luggage. Needed a shelf rather than a sofa bed. We had a split level floor for jacuzzi. Would have preferred a level floor because of tight steps. Accessibility to sockets for coffee making facilities. WiFi not very good. Could be due to building so WiFi would need to be put in each room
Location was perfect. Excellent for transportation routes as well as locality. Hotel also recommended good local cafes. Very clean and refill of water, crisps and coffees etc

United KingdomThere was no wi-fi signal in our room and that being the case we couldn't access Netflix and if your like me I do like to watch abit of TV as I am an early riser . We both managed to bang our legs on the corner of the bed as it is one where the matress is smaller than the frame so be warned. The breakfast was just a couple of crossiants, which would have been better as a voucher for one of the pastry shops next to the hotel . The room its self is situated on the 5th floor there is a lift but if it breaks down its a long trek up or down with your luggage .
The room was clean and tidy and adequate size . There is a coffee machine and kettle too make hot drinks and a mini fridge . Staff where friendly . It is in a great location close to Vatican so can walk it in around 10 mins and a Todia supermarket which is better than the little ones next to the hotel . Also added bonus right next to the metro underground station .

CanadaIt was an interesting style of room, but then again, that's part of the experience. You have to be electronically inclined for this facility in case the host is not there, but once you get the hang of it, all is good. Very Clean, spacious, breakfast included (fresh croissants, donuts, and pastries..delicious) the whole atmosphere was welcoming. Located closer to Vatican City, plenty of tourism in the area.
