How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The location was amazing. Accesible only by car. But the view is breathetaking: over the hills, very authentic agroturismo. The interior is rustic, the big terrace is facing the hills and the sunset. The apartment is very spacious and can accomodate large families ( there are more bedrooms open depending on the number of the guests). The host was also amazing, they were preparing dinner for us in both nights we stayed: delicious local dishes and wine! The atmosphere was completed by italian music. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was served on the terrace. This is a family owned business and they are doing it very well. Congratulation!

We did not really suceed with getting the room temperature as warm as desired.
The hosts- Agostino and his wife, their tailored delicious dinner offer and hospitality, really nice and caring. Close proximity to Trapani and Erice. Clean rooms, easy parking on the street by the property.

We loved everything!
We loved everthing about Sogno Siciliano Turismo Reale! The owners are friendly ans very attentive. We had dinner there both nights and enjoyed some of the best meals during our entire 3 week trip in Sicily. It was a lovely country setting close to quite a few sights. The room ans bathroom were beautiful and comfortable. If the weather gad been nucer we would have spent more time on the veranda. I wish we'd stayed longer than 2 nighte.

Nothing, can’t say a word…
It’s rural, quiet, easy to get to and close to everything… our meals were exceptional, fresh local ingredients, restaurant quality … our room was large, had everything we needed, even heated blankets in our beds for chilly mornings… the fires were stoked…. A perfect place to stay…

One of the best accommodation experiences I have had! We loved our time in West Sicily , and Agostino and Sara’s hospitality had a lot to do with that. Breakfast was fantastic, and the dinners they prepared were the best meals we had in Sicily. The property is in a small village that is central to many of the North-West highlights. Highly recommend!

I would had given 9 star for it, but it got downgraded, because, the room was full of mosquitos. No sleep that night. Host must be aware of this and make sure this won't happen to anybody else. I can bet some people would be extremely annoyed. The problem is 100% solvable.
Host was very nice, spoke fluent English, dinner excellent, room clean. Rustic country side style, in a little town. The price is fair what you get in comparisson to other sites we stayed in Sicily.

Nothing really. The tiny spiral staircase to our room would have been tricky with a suitcase but the owner offered to take the Luggage
A bit of real rural life in a lovely home with wonderful hosts. We loved the private balcony looking over the view. They made us feel at home and provided wonderful home grown and prepared breakfasts and dinners. Superb. We will stay again

The food was out of the world delicious! The location we found to be very convenient to all the places we visited (Erice, Trapani, San Vito Lo Capo and Zingaro reserve). Very nice accommodations and lovely hosts!

The most wonderful hosts we have ever met. They made our stay unforgettable. They gave us the best high quality rich dinner we have ever eaten in Sicily. The breakfast was also very rich with many savoury and sweet choices with homemade fresh products and of course excellent cappuccino. Fantastic view from the terrace, fresh air and a good atmosfer for relaxing. Warm welcoming and smile all our stay. This is the place we want to go back to again for more days.
