Our hosts were beyond helpful and gave us great restaurant and exploration recommendations. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning with lovely cappuccinos and had cocktails with little appetizers at the hotel that were amazing!

Nothing - it was all perfect.

The breakfast was solid with lots of variety; the host made very good cappuccinos, and always offered to make a second which I gladly accepted. The host and hostess went above and beyond to make sure I was happy, comfortable, and had all the information necessary to enjoy my experience. They even arranged transportation for me to and from the ferries at no cost to me!

Nothing. Everything was actually great. Only "minus" point is the lack of bars/small restaurants at a walking distance from the hotel. Best to rent a scooter to visit the island. Makes the experience even better.

The Staff was just great, super helpful, gave great advise and checked-in several times to make sure that everything was going well. The view from the solarium was splendid, great for relaxation after a day visiting the nearby villages or trekking. Quality to price ratio is the best I had during my two weeks in the Aeolian islands.

The Solemar hotel is located in a pittoresque village of Salina, Leni, with terraces where you can relax and have your delicious breakfast in front of a spectacular view, with Lipari and Vulcano on the left and the north cost of Sicily in front of you, where the Etna stands with its snowy and smoking peak among the Sicilian mountains, when the sky is nice and clear. The room was comfortable and perfectly clean as well as all the hotel. I also liked the view from my window, where every morning I admired the amazing panorama. Breakfast was absolutely gorgeous with a lot of options to choose from, the cakes and cookies are homemade, and very delicious. The staff, Michele and Melania, were absolutely kind, friendly and helpful, giving advice on everything I asked. Michele gently picked me up at the port, as I arrived in the evening and I should have waited for a late bus. Highly recommend! I would definitely come back!

I was there during off season, so everything was pretty much closed. However, Rinella had some lovely restaurants (which is 20 min of walking from the hotel) Beds were not that comfortable.

Michele welcomed us from the moment he picked us up. He was very helpful and accomodating. We had an early departure the following morning and he went out of his way to give us our breakfast. All staff were very nice. Hotel was very comfortable and the area was beautiful. We wish we'd spent a couple more days.

Incredible service! The staff here, in particular Melania the manager, were absolutely amazing. They arranged a shuttle (for free) to and from the Rinella port, helped us negotiate a price for our moped, and gave us great ideas on where to go. The breakfast was very good, and the staff’s attentiveness was top notch. The hotel itself was in good shape, has a wonderful view of the sea, and the rooms were quiet and comfortable. Wifi was reliable and air conditioning worked. Overall, excellent value and we loved our stay here! Thank you!

English or French knowledge of the staff is limited. Can be a bit hard to communicate sometimes. Breakfast was limited in choice and basic but was very okay. You can call it continental knowing that Italians don't really have breakfast in their culinary culture. Leni is a bit further from the beach and the hotel has no swimming pool. The distance to the nearest beach is walkable but it's a bit of a challenge because Leni lies on a mountain flank.

The staff is very friendly and take good care of their guests. The restaurant is excellent but popular in the neighbourhood so reservations are recommended. The little village of Leni has a lot of charm. It's quiet and calm and there is nothing to do... Perfect for a laid back holiday disconnecting from the busy city life. There is an hourly bus service and if you can drive a scooter, renting one is a great idea to get around. That's how the Italians do it.

Michele and Melania were really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and air conditioned (a necessity given the high temperatures during my stay!). The hotel has a terrace with a beautiful view-an ideal location for an evening drink and breakfast! I would definitely recommend it!
