The maids waited outside our room for about 20 minutes talking and making noise. I don’t think they had enough work and they wanted to get to our room.

Minor detail, but the only thing that bothered me were the pillows, they were too big and stuffed.

Breakfast really good and the location was perfect. The hotel very clean and fresh, the room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We very really happy with the hotel.

Off season parking could have been provide free.

Francesco was very welcoming and helpful. Location was excellent and easy to get to by car. We were lucky with onsite parking available. Whilst there wasn't a cooked breakfast Francesca's home recipe omelet and cakes were a treat.

Secured parking is first come first serve. We used on street parking without a problem.

The location is brilliant, and we were very happy that we could park our car in the safe place inside the hotel property even if we need to pay for parking. It was worth paying. It was off-season, so the town was very quiet and may shops/restaurant were closed but it is still nice to walk around.

Need space heaters while eating breakfast. Coffee and tea should be free and not part of “mini bar”.

The breakfast room was located on an outdoor terrace and somewhat chilly. An outdoor heater would have been welcome. Also welcome would have been some drawers to store clothes in but this is a common failing in many hotels. While there is cable TV available, there are no English language channels that we could find.

Once we got the lay of the land in Tropea, we realized just how good the location of Solmaris is. You can walk easily to all the restaurants and places of interest in the 'upper' part of the town. Even though it's a bit of a challenge, getting down to the long walkway by the shore is accomplished by several different routes; it's best to do the climb back up by choosing the most gradual slope even though you might have to walk a bit longer to find it. Try not to miss visiting the local cemetary; it's moving and beautiful. The room we had was spacious and the bathroom, with its walk-in shower, safe and accessible. The table and two chairs were useful. The breakfast was amazing with more choices than we could imagine. The staff was helpful and gave us good advice on what was open during the height of their winter. Many of the usual activities in Tropea were, of course, not available in February but hotel staff were able to arrange for a special cooking lesson through a local provider. A highlight for sure.

They were just finishing renovating their bar area as we were there in off season. Would be even nicer when that is completed in a few weeks.. Some hot breakfast options would also add to the experience.

Newly renovated property. Beautiful room and friendly staff. Easy stroll to old town and has a few secure parking spots you can book. Breakfast was lovely, and there was great pizza across the road! We would happily stay again.

The room had all the things thought out. The location was in a local neighborhood, but close to the center and with a delightful mini-mart across the street. The breakfast had local fruit, Tropea onions (in omelet and in jam), and 'nduja, of course. Was so nice, that I did a one-day retreat in the room during All Saints day to relax and recharge (with food the day before bought from the mini-market - a kind brother and sister run it). Mimmo's a few blocks down had really good gelato.

It was to find by car. Location was very convenient - close to center and to the sea. Passes to the building and to the garage was activated electronically. The room was very light, neat, and very convenient. Only good words about that stay.

Did have a very slight cigarette smell but never saw anyone smoke but there were ashtrays in room. Housekeepers kept everything spotless.

Staff was wonderful. Our first night we were on the first floor. So much street noise until 3 am. Spoke with young man at desk and he upgraded us to a second floor room. Quiet nights the rest of stay. Great parking. Maria great, breakfast hostess so friendly and helpful.

The hotel is located immediately adjacent to the historic centre, easily reached by car, and with secure garage parking on site (very important in this busy town). The staff are very friendly and attentive, and the accommodation generous, nicely designed and well sound insulated. The breakfast is also generous, with lots of homemade products and the offer of items cooked specifically.

Location of this hotel is perfect. This hotel  is recently renovate breakfast is including and was really delicious receptionist Elizabeth was wonderful . she was really professional on her job. She recommend a few places where to eat and we was not disappointing at all.  thank you again for making our vacation.  wonderful
