How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Not much storage space in the room. No cooked breakfast (though they do breakfast boxes)
Lovely clean room (well-cleaned every day). Great shower, comfortable bed. Excellent location, 20 minutes walk from the Colosseum and very near Termini station (airport links, inter-city links and both metro lines). Lovely staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Nice terrace on the roof where you can buy drinks or bring your own

Everything you need for a short stay in Rome. Excellent service, very polite and helpful guys at reception. We were upgraded to a suite with plenty of space. Loved the roof terrace for a glass of wine or morning coffee. Walking distance to most tourist attractions.

The staff was incredibly welcoming, kind and helpful. We truly loved our stay here. The terrace is a bonus & a wonder place to sit to watch the sunset. The hotel is located in a great location & you can easily walk to all the historical sites.

Flo and the staff were all super friendly and helpful, the Hotel was central and easy to access from everywhere. The room was clean and tidy. Overall the stay was great. Also we spoke to the staff in advance before arrival, and we were able to get our room earlier

The room was occasionally noisy, but nothing unbearable.
The staff was incredible. Super friendly and helpful. Rooftop terrace was such a nice place to chill and watch the sunset after touring the busy city all day.

The bathroom door
The amazing staff. Gabriel, Flo, Abdul and Omar all treated us like family. The nicest welcome and care during our whole stay. So helpful with information and tips for enjoying Rome. The rooftop terrace at sunset with Prosecco was a highlight. Thank you so much for looking after us

Everything was okay!
The reception staff (Omar) was very helpful and gave us a lot of information. Since we arrived at the location, Omar showed us on the map the locations we could visit, recommended us where to eat. He was an exceptional "guide". He deserves many thanks and may he be an example to others! The room was clean, spacious, as expected. The location is close to the main tourist attractions. The view from the terrace is very nice! You can leave your luggage if you arrive before check in and if you leave after check out for a walk.

The rooms were a bit small (not much room for clothes) but no big deal.
Staff were amazing especially Gabriel & Flo. They gave us great tips on where to go in Rome for sight seeing. We had delicious cappuccinos brought up to our room everyday and got to enjoy the awesome terrace! The rooms were perfectly clean and hotel is in a great location.

3-star hotel with 5-star service. The staff of the hotel went out of their way to ensure that our stay was comfortable. They let us store our luggage after check out, offered us drinks, and provided lots of tips about where to go in Rome. The terrace is also a highlight. Recommend +++

Omar and the rest of the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. This is an amazing hotel! The staff was always checking on me to make sure I had everything I needed and that everything was ok with the room. Room was very spacious and clean with cute decor. About a 5 min walk to the metro and 5 min walk to the train station. I will definitely stay here the next time I visit Rome without a doubt. Book here! You won't regret it! I stayed here twice within my 8 night trip to Italy!
