Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RussiaFor such a price per night, it would be possible to think through some details: there is no water in the room at all, I don’t know at the reception, because the guys leave at 23:00. I had a late check-in and ended up suffering from thirst until the morning. In general, this part of the room is not thought out at all: coffee, kettle, water, there is absolutely nothing. There were also no shower amenities in the bath. It seems to me that this is ok, but your room never costs 350 euros per night. This rather spoiled the impression.
The location of the hotel is great! in the very center, it is very convenient to get everywhere on foot. The hotel itself and the room are stylish and cozy. The furniture in the room was new and the bathroom was good.

BelarusThe shower stall was missing a seal on one side of the shower door, so water was spilling outside.
The location was perfect for our plans in Milan. The room was very nice, fresh and beautiful. There were many little details that made our stay comfortable. There was a coffee machine in the room. The staff helped with all the questions we asked. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Thank you

United StatesWe were near the breakfast room thus it got a bit noisy around 8am, but as we needed to get up to explore the town it was probably good. The bed is essentially 2 twins pushed together, one was great, the other you could feel the springs. We sort of squished onto the good one. That all being said - I would still stay here again.
We booked last minute and the host responded right away our room was ready and could check in anytime. She met us at the gate and showed my husband where to park, its a locked parking area just a short walk to the hotel. The room was nice with a big balcony that got great breezes. Super clean. The breakfast was fantastic, she had lots of local baked goods, offered fried eggs, and of course coffee.

CanadaWould have liked if staff had more knowledge of what’s around the area ie good restaurants, what neighbourhoods to discover, where to shop… tips for tourists etc. Its a great place if you have been to Milan and know your way around. Was expecting amenities that match a 4 star boutique hotels I have stayed at before but this was just a room you are paying for.
The room was a decent size and clean. This boutique hotel is located on the 4 floor of a residential and or maybe an office building. Close to the Duomo.

EgyptAs the property is new they need to add some guidance but the thing which I didn’t like the most is the noise on the night coming from the water pumps or the AC I can’t decide neither than the staff.
I liked everything about the property, amazing location amazing staff, modern, clean and neat.

United KingdomReally nothing. I would stay there again although the sound proofing between rooms isn't great,
I liked the location, which was near the San Babila Metro station and would be perfect for anyone catching a flight from Linate Airport as there is a metro line that goes directly from San Babila to Linate. The hotel wifi was terrific, which I needed for a work video meeting. As soon as the meeting started, however, a jazz band in the nearby street started up which complicated work but really wasn't anything the hotel could control and the rest of the time it was fairly quiet. I took breakfast at a cafe right near the hotel. It was delicious.
