How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

My room was only equipped with older plug types which made it difficult to charge my devices, there was a general European plug socket in the bathroom which could be used, but may be difficult if you need a lot of energy.
The hotel is in a quieter area of Rome but is very close to the Attractions and the metro/regional rail. This makes for a lovely stay away from the noise and bustle of the city with all the many tourists.

Space is really minimal. But for 2/3 days it is ok. Everything was as I expected it or better.
Nice garden, very good breakfast, staff extremely kind and helpful (apart from one lady, who was nice but not extremely nice - I suspect she is the owner).

Occasional mysterious odor in bathroom.

The bathroom was tiny. It had one of those 3 ft x 3 ft showers with the shower doors that come together in the corner. I had to enter the shower sideways and it’s so small you cannot bend over to wash your lower legs or feet. Also it is very easy to inadvertently bump the shower faucet handle with your elbow which could rapidly change the water to extremely cold or extremely hot. The toilet faced the heated towel warmer bars with minimal space. My knees were almost touching it when I would sit on the toilet or if standing the towel warmer bars were right behind me. No room for error! The breakfast area was small with minimal seating so you should time your breakfast time to avoid the rush of hotel clients at one time.
Very nice, quiet location close to restaurants and public transportation via Metro. Also close to Circus Maximus, Colosseum and Forum. The hotel is an updated older hotel with very cute detailing and a very nice breakfast offering. The room and bed were comfortable and very clean. The staff there were very friendly and accommodating and the lobby desk was staffed 24/7. Overall a very nice ambience.

To protect the environment is not necessary to change the towels on daily basis.
The room was big and clean. The mattress was very comfortable.

Not dislike observations. Toilet was in strange position in our room I could sit resting my head on facing wall sat on it ,lol someone larger than me would struggle. (This may only be the room we had )Could of done with a kettle and some coffee and tea in room as there is only a minifrdge with purchased items in. Not biggies and wouldn't stop us staying in this lovely hotel again.
Lovely little hotel not far from coleseum and Forum (10-15 min walk ) sights. We actually walked everyday into the city and other sites.Tour buses at end of road from it too, for further places like Vatican city.Nice breakfast room in garden with excellent continental breakfast. The hotel was spotless the staff excellent really nice helpful and friendly. Room was serviced everyday. We would recommend..

We fell in love! The minute we stepped out of the taxi. Beautiful green, quite area. Close to the center. The ladies and the gentleman, who work in the hotel are super helpful and friendly. We felt like home. Breakfast is amazing. Hoping to come to Rome soon and definitely staying here again.

Superb location. Welcoming and professional staff. Clean, warm and meets all one’s needs. Excellent breakfast. We have stayed at the hotel at least 6 times over the same number of years. Never disappoints.

Friendly staff, good location. It takes around 10 minutes to walk into collesium which made it perfect spot to start my journey. I rested well as it was quiet and breakfast was delicious. I would definitely recommend.

Hotel staff was very accommodating, and friendly. Circus Maximus was a short walk away. Breakfast is included, and was very good. Classic vintage hotel, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
