How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

A bit noisy since it is a guest house, with the entry/exit of people from rooms.
Great location and friendly staff. The room had all you needed and was clean.

Good location near the Vatican. Room spacious and clean, beds comfortable. Safe broke in the room but room was very secure so didn’t matter. Staff were friendly and helpful. Extra pillow provided when requested.

I've missed the information about late check-in 30 EUR fee in the accommodation description (my mistake I haven't read it properly that the last check-in time is 8PM). Luckily, we've caught the transport on time and arrived before 8PM. But this is my only issue about this particularly good place.
Good, clean accommodation for a reasonable price in the center of Rome. Truly kind stuff, clean beds, and bathroom. Very nice place to stay. Perfect place to reach Rome attraction and taste the great roman cuisine.

The location was perfect (less than 2 minutes of walk away from the Metro station). The room was super clean and the stuff (1 guy) was helpful with everything you can ask about.

The restaurants across the street can be rowdy on weekends.
Easy access to the Vatican and to the metro station. Good restaurants nearby. The self-serve entry upon check-in was unique and fun.

Good area for The Vatican but further away from other things, you can pick up a taxi handy enough though for only a few euro, but just always ask the price first.
Nice rooms, could do with a bit of an update but very large and comfortable. The Staff were so friendly and helpful. We ended up having the whole place to ourselves as we were a big family so it was nice. Plenty of restaurants, shops within walking distance and only 5 mins from the Vatican.

This was the first time we had a shared kitchen… it was totally fine though.
We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the quadruple room. We were very comfortable! The location is awesome, right beware metro Ottaviano, via Ottaviano and San Pietro but the best part of our experience was with the staff. They went above and beyond for us and we are so grateful 💗

The only missing is washer but that’s ok if your staying for days only.
It exceeded our expectations. The location is very convenient to visit the Vatican and Rome. The place itself is well maintained and clean. The staff (Dario, Selene and Musud) are very accommodating and helpful when you needed them. There are so many grocery stores and places to eat in the surrounding area. The metro is just a corner away. We are grateful to have found this property.

It depends the price you pay for it. For example 300 eur per days does not worth it. Its bit far from centre. You need transportation, close to metro station but closes at 21:00 and taxis are very expensive For 250-300 per day, i would expect new towels, and some.more facilities in the apartment.

Very thin walls between the rooms (the worst part are the bathroom walls -we could really can hear every single sound while neighbours using the toilet) and no soundproof entrance doors.
Location is great! Buliding complex is nice, also there is an elevator. Room is very clean and spacious, nicely equipped. Excellent explanations about the keys and infos about the entrance.

The triple room was very spacious and nicely appointed with a TV, desk and refrigerator. The bathroom facilities were excellent.

we were behind in booking a night in Rome which was a tad complicated by the fact that it was for nights right before Easter. but this unit showed up and we jumped on it. the location is a few minutes from the Vatican and perhaps a 50 minute walk to the colosseum. it was a nice clean room with comfortable beds. noise does seem to transmit fairly easily through the walls but they have a quiet time that everyone seemed to adhere to. the area felt safe. all in all a very nice place to stay
