How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Poor WiFi in the room. That side of Termini is not a great area at night.
Good location for sights, restaurants, supermarket, fast food and airport bus. Cheerful staff, clean room, hot water. Liked all the USB charging points.

The only thing I didn’t like was that although clean , the bathroom at certain periods of the day, would emanate a foul smell almost like a sewage…. There is a plumbing problem going on there. In order to sleep one really had to shut tight the bathroom door and open the window of the room. Stays in Rome are expensive so this hotel although very basic, it is overpriced compared to other cities in Europe.
Very close to subway and Roma Termini station if you need to access those a lot to reach certain areas ( Barberini, Piazza do Popolo, , Monti, Coliseum) Actually quite close to Monti and it’s restaurants( one subway stop or 12 minutes walking). Walking to the Pantheon area would be a 30 minute walk, so not close to the main sites in the historic Centro if that is your main purpose.

All, except the elevator was small, and would bounce when it was about to move or land. I really liked that the Tour buses had a stop almost in front of it

Rooms very small but I think usual for Rome city centre.
The location right at TERMINI for buses and trains. Eateries galore right next door. It's good for solo travellers and short stays with reasonably priced rooms.

The furnishings were old and there was just a tiny bit of moldy smell. The cloth hangers were like they were taken from all different stores with differing sizes and shapes. But these are still alright when you consider its price amongst other hotels.
Prime location for anyone visiting Rome for the first time. Good enough room for solo travelers considering the value/price ratio. Clean bathroom.

All the stuff had been friendly, and the room was just right. I would say to double-check that things are working before a check-in, the tv wasn't working, and the phone to call reception either. Amazing location, I moved from there easily. I would highly recommend and perhaps come back soon

I'm an Indian travelling with family (senior citizens). My priority was minimal walking to bus/train and 0-minimal stairs for reaching room. Hotel Stromboli is perfect ! 1. Rome's central train station 'Roma termini' 5 mins. walk (~150 mtrs. but parents' speed is slow hence 5 mins.) 2. Bus stop for within-Rome travel is 3 mins. walk (~50 mtrs.) 3. Hop on Hop off buses - CitySightseeing, GreenLine, BigBus Exactly opposite to the hotel, GrayLine (which I had booked) is 5 mins. walk (~100 mtrs.) from hotel. 4. Staff will clean the room without any extra request. You return from your day trip, you'll find changed sheets, emptied bins, new covers, etc. 5. Breakfast spread is 10 EUR per person - Good enough (Indians may want to avoid, 80% menu is sweet, but that's with entire Europe) 6. Eateries dotted in 5 mins. walk from hotel. 7. Staff is EXTREMELY helpful (my shirt got torn, they helped me with needle & matching thread :) ! )

BED WAS TOO FIRM FOR ME, BUT THAT'S SUBJECTIVE OF COURSE
Booked late so was happy to get this at a reasonable price at Easter. So handy for main station - within 1 Hour of leaving the airport terminal I was checked in and unpacking. Wifi was good, as was hot shower and room was cleaned daily. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment; plenty of eateries at the station , 2 mins walk away so a good and wide option

Nothing. We got what we paid for and expected.
The room was comfortable and clean. The interactions we had with staff were ok. The hotel is situated opposite the bus stop for drop off from the airport and the hop-on-hop-off buses, and a very short walk from Termini station. There are several reasonably priced cafes and restaurants located nearby, and many places of interest are only a short walk from the hotel. When we return to Rome we will try to book here again.

The location of the hotel is excellent and you can easily reach all parts of Rome. I arrived at 9 am and they delivered my baggage and welcomed me with kindness. Everything was perfect during my stay at the hotel, only about the delivery time of my room, I waited for about an hour and a half, the room was delivered at 3:30 in the evening.
