The location was superb - very short distance to supermarket (straight across the road), all piazzas, lakeside promenade, lake ferry terminal, and we were able to walk from the railway station to the apartment. Even though the apartment is centrally located it was very quiet inside. The views from both balconies were beautiful. Our host, Patrizia was in regular contact with us to ensure all our needs were met - she even picked us up on the day of our departure to deliver us to the train station on time!

As far as the Romantic Suite, with its modern kitchen, large beautifully appointed living area, super comfy bed, breathtaking views from a high vantage point 3 blocks from lakeside, and gorgeous marble bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, there was NOTHING NOT to like! BUT: Booking.com seemed to go to extreme measures to be sure that the owner could not communicate directly with the renter and visa-versa: as a result, multiple detailed emails that the owner tried to send us regarding her easy self check-in procedure were NEVER received which delayed our access to the apartment for hours unnecessarily. Likewise, my special requests to our wonderful hostess were never received so she had no opportunity to oblige. Booking should revise this policy!! Insist on receiving all needed check -in instructions from your hostess.

Location, location, location! (and BEST hostess on the planet, PATRIZIA!) This beautifully appointed 4th/top-floor apartment has two spectacular balconies (always the choice between sun and shade, lake and Alps views from both, nearby scenic mountainside views from one)..... espresso in the morning, wine and cheese in the evening was our strategy there! The elevator and stairs make access a breeze for all, and you are steps from everything you want in Stresa: groceries across the street, main shopping square under 100 yards, lakefront sites including ferry docks to the three beautiful and nearby Borromean Islands 4 to 5 blocks away, and so many restaurants, pizzerias, and Gelato shops within 5 minutes walk that it would take weeks to try them all! A vibrant and alive small town that is totally walkable, exceptionally safe and secure, full of interesting shops. Patrizia is a most caring hostess! She recommended great day trips and restaurants, and checked in with regularity by message to see if there was anything we needed to make our stay most enjoyable. I liked that we felt no need for a car, and between the train station (a ten minute walk, one change 3 stops from airport at Busto Arsizio stop, NOT at the second stop Busto Arsizio Nord!! to get to Stresa in slightly over an hour for 12 euros each OR the scheduled Milan Malpense airport transport on Alibus ( https://safprenotazioni.com/SafAlibus2000/ advance booking only) from a convenient pickup point 4 blocks from the apartment for 19 euros each way. Of course cabs are available for, I am certain, well over 100 euros (we saved that money for discretionary wine purchases at the incredible LaCambusa shop 3 blocks away, with thousands of bottles including rare finds, in addition to great culinary items.)

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Suite Romantic. The apartment was incredibly cozy and the balcony offered breathtaking view of the lake. The location was perfect, right in the heart of Stresa. We found it very convenient to have access to everything the city has to offer, from the boats to the islands, to the many restaurants, shops and even the train station. A special mention must go to our host Patrizia. Her warmth and hospitality made our stay even more memorable. We deeply appreciated her efforts to provide us with a wonderful experience throughout our time there.

Honestly, this is the most caring owner I have ever met in my life. Everything in this beautiful apartment is done for the convenience of the guests. A very cosy apartment, as if the owners made it for themselves. The kitchen has all the necessary items: my husband enjoyed cooking almost every evening. The bathroom is very beautiful and comfortable - with jacuzzi. Comfortable bed and clean linen. The view from both balconies is an art in itself. Having breakfast on the balcony with the view on the lake and snow-covered mountains is a fantastic experience! The owner of the apartment showed an enormous care - she recommended the best restaurants, excursions, and places to see in the city and around. For a rainy day they even prepared umbrellas! The location seems to be the best in the entire city. There is a grocery store opposite the place. Within a two-minute walk there is an amazing local cuisine restaurant Papagallo. Around four-minute walk to catch a ferry. At the same time, the apartment is quiet, we slept with the windows wide open, just like babies. If ever returning to Stresa, without a second thought - we know where to stay! Massive thanks to the owners for everything! We had the most romantic vacation in Italy.

There was nothing to dislike. The only issue we had was that many places were closed due to the time of year and the weather neither of which the host could control

The host was friendly and kept in touch throughout with advice and lifts from and to the train station as the weather wasn't great.The hosts advice on places to visit and eat was excellent also.

The perfect apartment!! We had a wonderful three day stay in this delightful apartment. Close to all amenities and the lake. Beautifully decorated with all you need for a very comfortable stay. The property was ideally situated in the centre of Stresa. Perfect for reaching all amenities. Close to a supermarket, restaurants, bars, shops, also the ferry departure point. Super location. Excellent location in the heart of Stresa. Close to many restaurants. Fully self contained and right near a supermarket so you can eat in if you wish. Secure building and lift to 4th floor. Patricia was our host and was very welcoming and obliging- great suggestions on tours, places to eat etc-she even collected us and returned us to the train station. Nothing was a trouble to her. A fantastic apartment in the heart of stresa , totally equipped with everything you need and quiet it has two balconies with lake views . It is on the fourth floor with a very efficient lift . It was elegantly decorated and in a fantastic position in the centre of Stresa. it was a two minute walk to the ferry terminal and a step away from shopping and restaurants. There were two balconies with views. One had views over huge magnolia trees and heritage buildings to the lake and mountains. Our host, Patricia, was so attentive and caring towards us.

The best holiday apartment we have ever stayed in. The apartment is beautifully decorated and the views from the balconies are absolutely stunning. Centrally located, less than 10 minutes walk from the railway station and the ferry terminal. Although there are loads of restaurants and bars nearby, we were not bothered by noise. The very best thing about the apartment is the remarkable owners. Patrizia and Andrea were helpful and knowledgeable. Both went way beyond what was expected to help us enjoy a fantastic week on Lake Maggiore.

Everything was great.

The apartment was beautifully presented and had wonderful outlooks from both balconies. It was in a very central location but it was very quiet.
