Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe think there must of been an event on before our stay, as the sunbed area was a work in progress, and lots of leaves and flowers in the pool. I am unsure whether this was due to being the end of the season but the pretty view point seating areas had fairy lights on the floor. The hot tub got very dirty quickly due to flies and wind picking up so it could do with a cover? The menu was not what we had seen online and had hoped to see the winery in more detail but the few staff seemed very busy which is understandable. We hope on return to the island if we come earlier in the season we might get better use of the facilities. Asides this it’s such a beautiful place and we really enjoyed it.
We loved the views wow!! Absolutely breathtaking from every angle. We also loved our room situated in between all the vineyard rows it was very scenic and peaceful. The rooms were very clean and modern, with a lovely outside space to sit out and enjoy the sunsets. This is a very special hotel. Staff were also very very helpful even with the language barrier! We also loved the ambiance of the music playing throughout the vineyard!

United KingdomDistance from the nearest town of Forio is around a 30 minute walk down a steep hill. Return taxis are particularly expensive, the hotels recommendation is to hire a scooter or car to truely experience island but for the time we were there (4 nights) taxi, bus and foot seemed to work fine.
We not only stayed at Tenuts C'est La Vie but also had a wine tour, tasting and ate at the restaurant on an evening. The whole experience has been exceptional. An incredible way to experience the finest food and wine in Ischia, with the Biancolella blend being particularly special (stunning gold colour). Nestled away in the mountain side overlooking the Tyrrhenian sea. This is a must if you find yourself on the island, the team here will be sure to make you feel welcome and send you on your way feeling very blessed. The staff really make this truely memorable, from Maria at the front of house who greeted us and looked after all our needs so carefully. To GV and the restaurant team whose knowledge was second to none. From breakfast to evening meal all food is michellin worthy with views over the bay which are once in a lifetime. We really cannot recommend this hotel enough. Everything was perfect and finished to an exceptional standard.

EstoniaIt was great to relax in jacuzzi under the starry sky, it would be even greater to have slippers and bathrobe for coming back to the room on a cool autumn night. We were missing optional warm blankets for more comfortable sleep. We also lacked some basic cosmetics, like shampoo. The breakfast was great, but without much variations if you stay for several days. The hostess didn't speak English, but we managed to communicate pretty well using Google Translate. The Bistrot prices are a bit on a higher side. PS We stayed during an active bird hunting season, so we had to wake up at 5.30 am to the sound of gunfire coming from the neighboring mountain area.
Great location with nice sea view surrounded by vineyards. Stylish and privately located apartments with terraces and jacuzzies outside. Overall quiet environment. Clean rooms. Great breakfast on a terrace with sea view. Helpful and friendly staff, we got a lot of useful information about Ischia island. The restaurant was already closed after the end of the season, but the hostess kindly offered some nice antipasti and their local wine after our arrival.

South AfricaStaff are kind, but service could definitely improve. Vineyards such as these that I've stayed in around the world (and for this price) usually have a more personal touch in the room, like a welcome card or small gift/ gesture for the guests. Wifi should be provided immediately on arrival, as there is no phone signal by the rooms and it's a little walk back to reception. A little introduction of the vineyard and facilities should be given, as you're frankly just left outside your room with zero information-I didn't appreciate this. I still know nothing about this vineyard and had to discover facilities myself. I do recommend at the restaurant that the staff asks about allergies/ dietary requirements. Like I say service could definitely be improved and is a negative about this stay- they are lovely people, but need more training or to visit luxury Vineyards around the world to see how they do things.
This is a beautiful property. Location is great, beautiful views of vineyard and sea. The privacy of the room, as all rooms are spread out. Room itself is lovely. Private jacuzzi is great to use at sunset. Good breakfast included, with a view at the restaurant. Very romantic, relaxing place. Staff are friendly and kind. The communal pool area is also beautiful! Restaurant is good, but could improve. Area for aperitif and restaurant is beautiful and live music is a plus! I would return to Tenuta Cest La Vie for another stay. Overall wonderful experience.
