The location was perfect for us. Very easy to explore Matera Sassis but also the more modern part of Matera which is a beautiful city! The view was gorgeous overlooking Sasso Bassano. Loved the spacious terrasse. The bed was very comfy. Kitchen had everything we needed. Claudio was always responding quickly and his dad brought over things we needed. Very kind.

We had really nice stay, however having such a pearl like this apartment I would pay more attention to cleaning. The kitchen was greasy, especially the kettle was covered with grease. Also the bed sheet had some blood spots. In the kitchen some spoons, fork and knives would be very useful. Anyway, this is just direction what can be better, if I will come back to Matera I will definitely choose this place once again!

The view is amazing from the window as well as from terrace. It's in the historical center, so everywhere you can get on foot. Contact with the host was very good. We didn't ask for a bed for our baby, but host organized it for us, which was very nice.

Kitchen could use a few more touches such as cooking and eating utensils.

What a view! Aptly named. Loved the large terrace on the top level. Great central location with parking easy to find. Very clean bright and comfortable.

Location was phenomenal, very easy locate from the train station, you can get a taxi the place from the train station but I opted to walk to see beautiful things. A short walk anyway for me.

Everything! The view is the best in Matera. Good size bathroom, shower with hot water. Clean and cosy. Exceptional terrace, quiet area, just in the middle of the town. Walking distance to markets and restaurants!

Very nice apartment perfectly positioned between the modern part of the city and Sasso Barisano. Safe and quiet, with a great view over Sasso Barisano. Very friendly and helpful owners.

There is nothing we didn't like.

The view (though we didn't have the room with the egg chair) was still beautiful. Right on the cusp of the new town looking into the old town (the Sassi).

This apartment didn't have parking included when I thought it did. Parking IS available on very specific streets (very inexpensively) near the apartment. Figuring out street parking for our rental car was pretty stressful at first. Also, google maps was definitely a bit off on the exact address of the property so be ready to call the host for help finding the unit. Re: future guests, after people book, I'd recommend the host send them a message if they are driving via rental car, just explain they should (in case they can't get one of the few free spots) download the EasyPark app and just park in a blue spot near the place after dropping off their luggage. I think it was less than 10 euros per day for these blue street spots and it was super easy to add time daily via the app on the phone daily. This should NOT deter people from booking this place, it's AWESOME! More of an fyi on a bit more parking info before arrival for host with people once they book. The host was fantastic, helping us navigate this over the phone via WhatsApp but just trying to help make it smoother for future guests with a rental car. 95% of parking near the place required a residential local parking permit, fyi. Again, it's worth it and you will find a blue paid spot... eventually! :)

Top location on the edge of Sassi, the old and beautiful part of the Matera. The view from the apartment was really stunning! The apartment was lovely, very clean and we slept well in the confortable bed. The roof top terrace was magnificent! It was easy to park car near the apartment. The neighborhood was quiet and the host very helpful! It was easy to walk anywhere in Matera from this location.

The apartment was dirty - especially the floors. There were like no utensils at all, so don’t expect to cook there. The directions to arrive to the apartment (by car) were poor. We suggest you to drive the Via Tommaso Stigliano till the end , so you are basically at the door to drop your luggage. There are steep and narrow stairs upstairs, where the bedroom and a wardrobe are, so keep that in mind. The terrasse is huge, but limited furnitures and the cushions on the chairs were worn out and dirty and one chair was totally brioken, so the place is not well kept - but of course there is ”the view”. The place is max for 2-3 nights stay.

The view was absolutely amazing from the large window as well as from the terrasse. The location was about perfect as it can get.

The location of the apartment is exceptional, the roof terrace is definitely the highlight of the accommodation with it's breathtaking view of the Sassi. Well equipped and charming place to stay, would come back again!

Minor details - we didn’t love the pillows, big and firm, but this is personal taste. We had to unplug the fridge as this was noisy at night and the cabinet it sits on would move every time you opened the door. Everything else was great.

The view lived up to our expectations. Communication with host was great and we found the location was perfect being on the edge of old and new Matera. You could see the sun rising over the Sassi from the window. The shower was really good.
